Those are some really nice ones Mobius. I especially like tranquil, transient, soliloquy and enamor.
I also like 'myrrh' a lot.

hahah and definitely not vagina.. vulva maybe.. but penis and vagina are both a little garish.. and not because of their meaning.. they just sound a bit off. (the Peeee in penis and the hard Va GY Nuh.. it almost sounds like a chant)
one of the things I do love about english is writing in it.. there are so many words that mean similar things and as a writer it makes it far easier to look for a word that fits poetically because of the sound. I think there are languages that sound nicer to the ear (Portuguese being my favorite) and languages that have a singular words with far more meaning conveyed such as Chinese but for writing I really love english. And guido I had noticed a similarity between english and dutch in many respects. When I'm watching dutch films with subtitles I forget more easily that I'm reading the dialog.
ETA yeah Myrrh is good.. also why I like Mirth.. and Philistine gets my vote. I love that word. Madeline Kahn used it in What's Up Doc and I burst out laughing.
