When the world and I were young
Just yesterday
Life was such a simple game
A child could play

It was easy then to tell right from wrong
Easy then to tell weak from strong
When a man should stand and fight
Or just go along

But today there is no day or night
Today there is no dark or light
Today there is no black or white
Only shades of grey

I remember when the answers seemed so clear
We had never lived with doubt or tasted fear.

It was easy then to tell truth from lies
Selling out from compromise
Who to love and who to hate
The foolish from the wise

But today there is no day or night
Today there is no dark or light
Today there is no black or white
Only shades of grey

It was easy then to know what was fair
When to keep and when to share
How much to protect your heart
And how much to care

But today there is no day or night
Today there is no dark or light
Today there is no black or white
Only shades of grey

Only shades of grey

Here's a great quote: “The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.” - Abraham Lincoln

Maybe a word of advice to all the police and city agencies that are violently acting against the protesters. Everyone can see you "enforcing the law" and "just doing your job".

Let's see how long it lasts with the whole world watching.

I stated it before. We've got it made here. Enjoy it while it lasts.

The crummy things we hear about Black Friday comes from the media, and again, they tend to sensationalize everything. It's their job, and damn if they don't do it well.

I've been wished Merry Christmas since the 3rd of December. That's deft social engineering!

Would you rather have this?

I know black friday is dumb but nobody is forcing you to go to walmart and trample people. I'd say most people don't even do shit like that. I know there are some legitimate complaints and we need change but some of you seem a little ingrateful of what you've got right now.
It did happen though. We are talking about the United States. You are sending a mixed message.

And about your ridiculous question, would I rather have a Russian breadline around or a consumer riot-- I obviously choose neither!

heh, it is a strong point
"would you rather be shot in the left foot or the right foot?"

can't overcome this problem inherent in human nature, you say?

then let us evolve!

The idea that it will have to be one or the other is very wrong.

"Real clear politics"

Haha...

Well, since we did just free up our resources in Iraq, I think it's time we really start pissing off Iran, don't you?

I can guarantee you that the US will invade Iran thinking there's nukes there and then find nothing at all. Then we'll have to stay there for 10 years to overthrow their government and fight off militias. We obviously need to waste more troops and money.

Our foreign policy is just so wonderful isn't it?

Hey man, we're spreading democracy so the rest of the world can know how to be free like us. If you don't like it go to Russia!

But seriously...

One of the phrases I despise most... and I mean most of all... ever... out of almost any utterance I've ever heard in my term as a human being... every time I hear it I die inside...

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

Talk about Orwellian double speak.

Except one little edit to that - the US government will know there's no nukes in Iran/Iraq/whatever other example you could use with any other pretense, they'll just latch on to that an use it to fool people. Meanwhile the Republican sheep parrot Glen Beck about how Obama himself "quadrupled the debt" or "Homosexuality is a threat to the American family" or something else ridiculous like that and the Democrat sheep parrot Al Gore or whoever's prominent this week about the small, mostly insignificant things like "We should ban aerosol cans" or "Oh hey, since DADT was repealed now gay people can die in war too, that's real progress, huh?"

And during this period of time when everyone is fighting over absolutely nothing reasonable, the "leaders" of this country fuck the world, including themselves and this country, in the ass. If you let them. Everyone needs to stop letting them. Unfortunately, the general public enjoys the American representative/consumer game so much that it's difficult to lead them away from the herders.

Perhaps the spy drone was sent out to see if they hack it. It looks like there could be a spy man inside the drone looking out of the screen hole and giggling.

And Rodheh, your posts are becoming great!

I'd like to make an amendment to that if I may.

Except one little edit to that - The people who really run things worldwide and keep themselves safeguarded under international law who POSE as the US government (not to mention all of the other governments that have been bought out with their fractional reserve banking systems of debt and money backed by NOTHING) will know there's no nukes in Iran/Iraq/whatever other example you could use with any other pretense, they'll just latch on to that an use it to fool people.

Oh, and most importantly...

FOR ME TO POOP ON!
