Sorry to reanimate an old thread...but "Gentleman Loser" comes from an old Steely Dan song - "Midnite Cruiser" from their first LP "Can't Buy A Thrill" (1972).

As the song goes:

gigantic fan of helios, and bibio.


listened to just the first track on Dustland and loved it.

throw it onto my Ipod and take a walk is my plan now.

Yesterday got word that the debut album is going be reissued on CD with bonus material from City Centre Offices, so definitely keep an eye out if you don't have it.

Gentlemen Loser fans should check out a guy on Moodgadget named Joe Lapaglia.

Little harsher in some respects and some singing too but amazing guitar drones and loops.

Side note - I am surprised Gentlemen Losers are Finnish. Much of their music has a very Americana feel to it.
