Made my first loaf of bread today!
She's not the prettiest girl at the dance..
but texture and taste = perfect! Not-too-crisp outside with a light, yet slightly chewy, and very moist interior!

That looks YUM. I want to bake banana bread this weekend! The craving has me.
Anyone have any suggestions of cheap but healthy meal recipes? I have been food-obsessed recently and in the mood to cook.

If you have a crockpot, it is mucho easy-o to make a nice pot of stew/chili/etc. that can be very filling (and therefore cheap! you know, unless it's like.. lamb chili.
Or gold chili.
Or diamonds.)

Well, I guess I've had
similar meals to chili.. Like, with rice or pasta.. But never have I had a bowl of what has been referred to as 'chili', no... Not a very South African thing at all. thanks for the almost invite

Though I am still in the states for 2 weeks.. Maybe I'll have to try some here

Cooking up a pot of Miso soup instead of writing my creative nonfiction paper. Sweet, delicious procrastination...

I could so make a terrible sexist joke but I will refrain
I also can't cook at all but I wish I knew how, cooking is really interesting to me. And food is good.

i welcome sexism. 40% of my week will be covering feminism. ugh.
the thing i find about cooking, the few things i can cook arent worth eating once ive spent all that time making them. and then cleaning up. it totally takes the fun out of eating.

eww feminism.. I had a socio professor last year who liked to sneak feminist stuff into the material we were studying (it wasn't very subtle) and it got old pretty fast lol.
but yeah the effort isn't worth it one bit- the problem is that I'm too impatient/hungry so I can never wait around preparing something..
