Don't get hung up on the barcode thing. That was just an example. I've seen local bands selling CDs in coffee shops and the record store (RIP), but that's not BOC's thing. They weren't about getting their name out or making money. I'm pretty sure they didn't do that. They've said time and time again that they've always made music for themselves, and apparently, on occasion, decided to share it with friends. The "box of shit" idea makes the most sense, but how limited do you really think the run was for something like that? Twenty? Thirty max? The odds of ANYONE finding one that had been carelessly thrown out amongst other albums are extremely slim, and the odds of someone finding one who knew, or would eventually come to know of BOC are even slimmer.

Did not read the whole thing but it wouldn't surprise me if SOME of the random 35 track was sampled from their various early releases. Some of the songs on that tape cut off before the song is complete so the track times wouldn't necessarily match up.
Also, not sure if it's been mentioned here but the Circle excerpt is very much House of Abin'adab with some other effects over it. I like to think of it as Igloo of Abin'adab.
