The store probably didn't give a crap or had no complaints and thus haven't changed their stock.

One day I wanted to buy TCH because it's my favorite LP ever and I'd love to see the big cover standing proudly on a shelf, but I still wanted to make sure if the vinyl works OK. The shop told me that it should be OK since nobody had any problems with any of the LPs (probably 'cos I live in a country where nobody listens to vinyls). I passed on the occasion

I bought TCH from a local shop (not knowing about the issues at the time), and was disappointed with the scratches/noise from my copy. I contacted Warp, they had me send them a few pics of the records/receipt, and I was sent new working copies within a week and a half (international shipping). My new copy sounds great.

All is good guys! As StauntonLick says, it doesn't matter where you bought the record from, turns out it's not Bleep's problem but Warp's, anyone with any vinyl issues should email production@warprecords.com, my replacement records are being despatched this week!

bleep have now 'pre-order' tabs set up on geogaddi vinyl and trans canada vinyls, so they must be out of stock till 5th September.

F**kinell! I'm glad I bought these when they came out.
I'm not sure Warp have ever been consistent with vinyl quality. Anyone remember the nightmare with the Selected Ambient Works 2 original pressing on brown vinyl?
Ugh.

Warp defects pop up again. I purchased the Eno-Hyde High Life double vinyl. All was sounding great until I got to Side D, where there was a something stuck to the vinyl that caused massive pops and a skip. I pulled the record off the platter and you could feel an extra sharp piece of vinyl right over a few grooves and it will not come off. I'll try to exchange it, but you'd think I would have learned my lesson after the BOC issues and just not buy Warp vinyl anymore.

OK, swapped out my High Life for another and lo and behold the same defect is on the same first track on Side D. A "bubble" raised piece of vinyl that is clearly a defect in the pressing, as two copies have this in the exact same spot on the vinyl. "On a Grey Day" is an extremely quiet song and the 4 major pops in a row are unacceptable. At least this copy didn't skip, but the pops are enough for me to return it and never purchase another Warp pressing on vinyl again.

Mn, thanks to this forum thread I now have replacements coming for "Geogaddi", TCH, "Twoism" and CHP. Lets hope its worth it!

Just as a heads up, Warp is making people send pictures of their vinyl, download cards and receipts for proof or purchase.

just picked up a close to mint copy of original campfire on vinyl for £25 locally, happy days. good to see her back. sold my original for £80 a few years back when money was tight. what goes around comes around rodders!

okay, so i just got a new record player so i can -finally- play my mhtrtc vinyl. i haven't yet, however, because first i should ask the lovely people here on twoism who had issues with the mhtrtc vinyl which tracks had problems. thanks

In terms of the repress? It is the only one out of all of them that has no issues for me. Slight surface noise maybe, but I listen on headphones and they pick up a lot more than speakers.

Everything else was messed up in one way or another, distortion being the main problem but also off-center pressings, excessive warping for a new record and scratches here and there.

But MHTRTC was absolutely fine.

I only said that because my mate's setup is damn good and the imperfections don't come out as much on his speakers. But that might be due to something specific with his, maybe the way he EQs it. I don't know enough about speaker setups to say I guess.

cool, warp is sending me a replacement copy of E/F on geogaddi cuz of corsair issues, and they were real sweet and nice about it! i bought it in a local store a bit ago but with my photographic evidence they were totally happy to work it out.

that same local store has a few copies of headphase in stock, in the 25% off markdown bin, but i'm sure those are all the original fucked up repress and even though they're cheap i'm gonna pass

Yeah, as severe as the issue was, Bleep was nothing but cordial with me when working it all out.

You COULD pick one (TCH) up and then message them again about it, but that's up to you..

Been out of the loop for a while since I got my copies replaced, but it looks like there's still some activity from Bleep in replacing these. I noticed a fair amount of inner groove distortion on Geogaddi's Side B during "The Smallest Weird Number" but never heard any talk of it being fixed. What about now? Anyone else have this problem?

I only have TH, MHTRTC and Geogaddi on vinyl so far.

TH sounds very good, if not the most exceptional in my collection.

MHTRTC (2013 pressing) sounds quite good, too; it initially skipped during a lot of songs but I cleaned it and now, played on a higher-quality player, there's no problems. Still, I don't find this quite outstanding in terms of pure sound.

Geogaddi (2013) though, sounds absolutely fucking GREAT. Man, I just love how warm and beautiful and immersive and rich it is. Listening to this reissue on vinyl really actually made me love Geogaddi like I used to, and now I again consider it the band's greatest official LP. Just listen to the warmth and depth of Ready Let's Go, it's an awesome prelude to an amazing sonic experience. I had no problems with this pressing either. Bought just this month, got TH back in March and MHTRTC in Jan 2014.

I hope to get TCH soon, as well as Trans Canada and especially the new Hi Scores whenever I can. I'd LOVE a vinyl of Boc Maxima but oh well...
