I tried to look up a Wikipedia article on Wikispooks but instead found a Wikispooks article on Wikipedia and how it's a psyop by the deep state and intelligence agencies in order to brainwash the masses. Looks like I lucked out not getting gaslit by a Wikipedia article written by totalitarian elite shills!
reads like how the kids on the posters would talk in monotonous unison

Doubt it, we'd have already seen it on Spotify Release Radar. I think maybe next week.

Unless it is special in some way, a single release would be organized mainly by Warp.
I think they will wait a bit more until sales start going down to reignite them.

It hasn't quite sunk in that a brand new Boards of Canada album is dropping next month. The years of monitoring Twitter likes, adopting extra vigilance on significant Pioneer 10 anniversaries, refreshing the ASCAP Repertory, etc. It's felt exhausting at times, but nevertheless it's been fun and I'm glad that we're finally being rewarded. Cheers gang.

13 years, and now it’s those 5 weeks before release which will feel the longest.

Very true.
Hopefully a single drop in a couple of weeks to tide us over!

Wonder if it'll be possible to get a hi-res image of one of these so I can get a canvas made. It'd look awesome alongside my Tomorrow's Harvest one.

I feel this too. I’m glad there’s still over a month before the 29th to take it all in.

Hey, very cool! I wonder if they just adhered / stenciled it on there? Or placed brand new posters over the old ones?
I saw two comments on instagram complaining about the text, calling it 'ugly.' I personally love it!

Agreed - We gotta enjoy this anticipation while it lasts! Who KNOWS when the next album after this one will be?

Happy Friday y'all. I made some wallpapers with the new assets on the BoC website over the last month. Retained their original aspect ratios. Enjoy!

Welcome to a roundup of our most anticipated pre-orders.
Following a bread crumb trail of hexagons and VHS tapes hinting at something new, Boards of Canada have returned with Inferno, their first new album in 13 years. You may have noticed that due to a large volume of traffic to the site yesterday, Bleep was momentarily down. This was due to the large demand for this release, and Warp Records have updated the release info for the deluxe vinyl format:
We have experienced overwhelming demand for this record. We want to supply all orders, and so are keeping the presses going to match demand. The record is currently being pressed at multiple pressing plants around the world. Customers who have already received order confirmations should still get their order on, or close to release date. From this point, we can not guarantee that orders will be delivered by release day, and it is likely there will be some delay, but we will get them to you as soon as possible. The release date listed here is a long date and should be improved upon. Digital formats will be available for download from 29th May. We will not keep pressing this format beyond the release date. The black vinyl format will be repressed and kept in stock moving forward beyond release date.
I just checked and yup, September 18th is the new (current) release date for the red vinyl
https://bleep.com/release/590960-boards ... da-inferno
I know some would be annoyed that something is first sold as "Limited" and then changed to have that word removed, but the real value in this format is the booklet for me. And the more the better
Black with booklet would be the perfect format.
I went with the full meal deal - red vinyl, shirts/hat, etc. - it took about 3hrs before Bleep was stable enough so I could actually finalize the purchase, lol. The "limited" tag meant nothing to me, I'm just a sucker for coloured vinyl and was really intrigued by the artbook as well.
I did get my email confirmation that shipping would be on May 26th, so I'm hopeful. I'm in Canada and I went with the base, 3-5 business day delivery. 4th business day would be my birthday sooooooooooooooo, I'm really hoping I made the cut for the "first batch" so to speak...

Super interested in whatever the exclusive items given to records stores for listening events are going to be (that they mentioned in their press document). Im right next to a store that is always doing these and so they may be one of the places. The only thing is I kinda want yo go for the exclusive items and then dip for the actual listening cause I really want to save it for a personal experience. Wonder if I could get away with that. Kinda dont any of it beforehand so it would be kinda risky

If the listening events are just in record store then I think I’ll avoid too because I do not want to end up next to someone scrolling on their phone while hearing the new album for the first time.
