Just wondering if there was a quick rethink on pressing quantities as a result of demand.
Someone said bleep had earlier but you can still pre-order from the looks of it. For the next batch maybe, later shipping or something?
yeah, bleep definitely showed sold out on vinyl for at least an hour around 4pm MST. wanted to pick up a 3rd copy, lol

It's all over eBay, not official but came out about 24 hours after the first vinyl was found. Some entrepreneurial people out there ;)
Oh that's too bad, I was hoping it was an official shirt because I like the font on it better than the new shirts and the tree logo shirt.

I have spoken very briefly with the administrator of this site about this matter and he agreed about the fact that even during this period only minor moderation was necessary. No agression or flaming at all, as far as I have seen, at most just minor disagreements. I can list many forums and websites where *any* discussion quickly detoriates into flame wars, spam and Nazi references. This is really positive and proves the fact that Boards Of Canada fans are really intelligent, empathic and social people. Pat yourself on the back Twoism ;).
Hear hear! Well done guys! I don't know about earlier today, but Saturday night was hopping!

In the process of releasing new music, they gave me a week full of memories I'll never forget. It was incredible in and of itself. And now new tunes to create and re-live old memories to- just amazing.

got bored and edited the album cover a bit. I liked the realism of the original but I wanted to see if I could make it more of a similar style to their previous releases, lots of colour and abstract visuals.

honestly it looks more relevant then I had hoped for.

I'm sure you can, but I guess there are no guarantees that way.

Doesn't have to be pre-ordered and lots of eager people don't have a local record shop. I don't.

I know the location of the cover photo has already been confirmed but I still thought I would contribute this:

I think this last one really picks up the same vibe :

oh yes of course, but also colour, silhouette, horizon, type positioned centred in particular. it think they look similar espeically in feel. boc one looks more instagram'ish though and of course different font and different silhouette. try squinting your eyes

Seriously though, while it would seem that it's sort of a return to form based on the tone of the teaser, we still don't know what the album as a whole will sound like. What do you guys think it will bear the most resemblance to? Twoism-Hi Scores era? MHTRTC-IABPOITC-Geogaddi era? TCH-TCH era? Or possibly something so completely different that it bears very little resemblance to anything they've made before?

just from judging the track titles. i picture this album very dark and very serious. i cant imagine there really being any funky tracks judging by the vibes given so far from the artwork and build up.

id be surprised if this sounds anything like their previous work.

Track 17 - "Seeds of the Dead"

1.) Google searched "Semena Mertvykh". Nothing but BoC-related results.
2.) Decided to try searching "Semena Mertvykh -boards of canada"
3.) First result contained "he states: "Khristos iz mertvykh voskres, budet to" with the title "...Romance re- and Russian voz-"
4.) FoxLingo Translation --> Russian To English (Google Translate)
5.) Semena Mertvykh --> Semena Mertvykh ??
6.) "*Did you mean Семена Мертвых*?
7.) Семена Мертвых --> Seeds of the Dead

Another thought: the use of the Russian language in track-list (Cold War...)

Drums. Need to hear drums to decide that. I hope there's another clip with a bit more music before the release just to give us an idea.

I saw this somewhere else. Love the juxtaposition of "New Seeds" and "Seeds of the Dead"

Also, what does everyone make of the foreign language interest on this album? There's obviously been a prevalent Spanish interest ... and now that's, Russian I believe?

My edit --- I think the Russian thing is a nod to the Cold War.
