I am not recording the live segment as I can do that anytime but I will be recording the Societas x Tape on reel to reel and it will sound really good... pretty much most audio except real garbage quality digital sounds amazing if imprinted to that Akai M-8... sounds very Campfire Headphase ish and has a lot of headroom

i've always loved this recording of happy cycling - the brothers love letter to LSD. sounds so rad live, i wish i could time travel only to hear this ... and kill hitler of course

Yeah, really don't get why people are mad at this. usually you guys are happy and make threads about how its cool and rare to hear BoC on the radio. But right now we're hearing some BoC on the radio and some people are mad because they've already heard it before?

Just enjoy the moment with the other fans!

it will sound fantastic! I will be very careful not let it sound too quiet or loud but I feel recording it to an old vintage tube recorder would maybe make the BoC brothers smile... or maybe not

I don't think I have ever listened to this through a good pair of headphones and the volume up high before. You really get a sense of how much things move around in the stereo space.

Also, I promise this is the last time I will say it, but for the benefit of people just getting here, NTS 2 doesn't appear to be under control of Warp for the weekend as NTS 1 is.

It isn't Warp curating the programming on NTS 2 at the moment and whoever is hosting likely decided to put a few bits of Warp related content on to give some context and to allow people to dip in and out between the two channels. There is also explicitly non Warp related content on NTS 2 today and tomorrow also as per usual.

If it were Warp and they decided to not include the fact it was the bootleg, then I would feel slightly let down as well, but that isn't the case. And ooh the end of happy cycling just kicked in.

On bocpages it’s mentioned that one or more of the bootlegs was probably recorded by a Hexagon Sun member, IIRC, so that’d fit.

It's only because we were initially led to believe it would be a soundboard recording. If we knew from the beginning, no one would have minded. Still great to listen to it.
