Thee Post When Your High Thread

well the real goal of going on my computer would be listening to music, and it's only cause everyone was going separate ways at that point. But I ended up watching movies instead so I'm not too depressing.silo flame wrote:ingesting a psychedelic and then going on the internet is one of the most drearily depressing things I can imagine doing//you oughtta go get lost in some hidden nook
the fact that when i read your post i was stoned like a small geek in the playground...something like that...and not having heard the track...attempting to picture the track, and the conversation in my mind...and then on top of this, what these people were actually doing...zeitgeist wrote:dude, i've been laughing about this all freakin day since i heard it. can't stop replaying it.bleak. wrote:winner of the best post of the day competition without a doubt!
...there, thats a positive about weed, i suppose...that it sends my mind into an encyclopedia of thoughts...unlike any drug, i can control weed...and...fuck, i'm still stoned now! ha! x
edit: i must also add - weed should never become a dependency. i know many people where finding some weed becomes a daily mission, phoning, waiting, relying...and at the end of the day, they are wasting their lives away. i haven't bought weed since the summer - i smoke occasionally with friends and thats fine...i have a nice balance between 'normality' and...well, being stoned.

TurquoiseSeventy: i think i might become an atmospheric scientist dude! i totally hardcore love the weather since FOREVER and it's a very lucrative and stable job holy shit
TurquoiseSeventy: i'm gonna post that in the pwyh thread cause i'm totaly h
TurquoiseSeventy: damnit i just thought of an awesome riff for a song in my head and wanted to lay it down and build on it and make a totally kickass new tune, then i realized that the riff was really just How Many More Times by Led Zeppelin.
i also want to say that i fucking love this thread. this is one of the most enriching threads to come to because it gets serious and gets totally tangential and there is a ton of cool shit in here. every once in a while people link to tight stuff too. hooray!

i ended up smoking pollen for the first time in years last night - it usually doesn't affect me in the slightest. but...fuck. being surrounded by people on mdma, walks in the woods, conversations, the dawn chorus (which was breathtaking)...lack of sleep is a trip itself at this present moment. what a beautiful day…my mind is overloaded with thoughts. i cant seem to make sense!

SO I tried coke the other day..split on half a gram with a friend so it wasn't much, but I didn't want to do a lot my first time. It was pretty cool though, I enjoyed the high but I don't know when I'll try it again. It's definitely not something I want to start doing as often as I do other drugs, but a once in a while sorta thing I guess. It's too costly IMO.
Still, pretty nifty shit

anyone remember that post i wrote about how i didn't feel at home at twoism anymore and so forth?
i feel like whatever needed to happen to rectify that problem has happened.
this board feels like home to me once more and i don't know what i'd do without it!

hell yeah, you know how everyone has places and images that they associate with certain songs, for me, skimming stones is always an instant reminder of this town grand marais up in the northeastern tip of minnesota near the border of canada along the shore of lake superior. it's one of those tiny little sleepy, remote towns that feels like it's on the top of the world, especially when you stand on the cobblestone beach and look out at the lake, it always seems to be foggy and cold. i just visited it again in early february...definitely still at the end of the earth up there. oh, and i always skip stones there. nothin' else to do.bleak. wrote:and to add to the post when you are highness...i absolutely adore the tracks 'skimming stones' and 'concourse' something so eerie but strangely appealing. that i want to keep searching deeper and deeper beneath the surface...keep searching...

Woke up still high from some weed I smoked last night
I feel like making a small one now and sitting on the roof terrace. Really want to play around with some beats today but if I smoke now it means when my mum visits later this afternoon I'll look like I have myxomatosis. She has known I smoke and do drugs for the last 15 years but some people I prefer to be totally level headed around just for quality time well spent. It's not like she can get on my stoned level.
I very rarely get chance to work on my audio experiments and tend to find smoking weed gets rid of some stumbling blocks like being overly self critical.
Ah well. Tonight for a top up
Listening to 'Inspired By Boards Of Canada : A Few New Tunes' for a nice start to the day.
Turquoise70 - I used a sample of a university lecturer talking about the importance of water resources and the Great Lakes in Minnesota in the track I did for the album I mentioned up there ^^
