the ones who complain will surely have something worthy enough for the patient people to have a problem with?

BoC is having hard time communicating with other human beings.. maybe too much nature, silence and Telephasic Workshop(s) In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country?

Also, I noticed a few things I'd never heard before. So, I might try this with a few other tracks when I have more time.
edit: Dunno why it won't play from there, but you can right click and 'save as'...

You should compress that to Mp3 or anything other than lossless .wav. Filesize is huge

what program did you use to make this a 32-bit .wav?

Plays great for me, but it did require me to allow the script first, in order to show the player.
I've used zshare to similarly upload some speeded-up (tempo only) BoC examples - they are in the
'Fucking around with BoC' topic - and it uses the same player feature; it ran straight away, but I think I already had zshare allowed there.

Can we assume that Warp will announce the new record several months in advance of release?

I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic, but nonetheless it seems that they're confirming that there is truth to these rumors.
Either way, I could imagine that working on an album for over six years could get tiring so I can't see a release being far from here.

I hate to add more speculation but I noticed Warp records liked BoC's comment. Carry on

I like that Warp like what BoC said.

OK. State of play as of this afternoon UK time;
- Bunch of websites now reporting 'BoC confirming new album' based on BoC themselves confirming rumours via a FB response (edit: it's not been pulled)
- Peter Serafinowicz this afternoon tweeting new BoC album confirmation based upon article on a random site which..just reported the FB response, and also PS's double album comment from a few weeks back.
Summary; there's really nothing more to go on than there was last week or even last year. Dog wags tail wags dog.
Personal conclusion; Stand down. Unless someone *actually knows something*. Return to your beer gardens and prepare for happy hour.

Agreed, it's fucking stupid. I like how they update their Facebook but not their boring website.
Well that settles this

Damn, beat me to it. I can't figure who that Warp representative is though and where that quote is from.

The recent flurry of activity was ignited on Monday when a fan posted on the Boards of Canada Facebook page, asking "Rumors of a new BOC album are rife? Any truth in this?" and Boards of Canada responded, "Yes." And that was all.
My sides.
"They are definitely working on new material, but there is nothing in the cards at the moment in terms of a scheduled release." They seem to know as much as the rest of us do.
Cool.
