A fitting description as well. Sadly, it fits my mood of the last years all too much.
Tell me about it. This is the hardest time of my life so far, and this song has really spoken to me. I'm blown away.

Well Music Is Math is just one chord with the bass note changing. Root, fifth, third, back to fifth, seventh, repeat. I've noticed they like to use 5-bar units a lot (which is generally unusual). You also see this in Sunshine Recorder and IABPOITC.
Here we've got something centered around Gb-major harmony, though it's hard to pinpoint exactly what the tonic is. Mostly Eb minor, Db Major, and Cb major. But then there's the Fmin chord at the end.
...main chord is a D sharp minor chord with a nice F in there, also a B.
In fact, it's nice that they premiered this in Japan as the scale they use reminded me of traditional japanese modes as the Hirajoshi and Akebono scales.

Yup, now that you mention it. I associated it first with 'Julie and Candy' (crunchy drums, atmosphere). 'Farewell Fire' (drone atmosphere) has been mentioned, as well as 'XYZ' (start and end), and '747' (build-up).

It idid remind me of Music is Math, but I think that's because of the saturated bass drum pattern which is the same in both
