Should I order through amazon instead of bleep? You can save quite a bit

Is it possible amazon will get shafted on supply?

I got my order in on bleep towards the beginning of the site going up

Can't comment on weather it's going to be positive or negative, but with all of the harvest and nature themes I'm hoping this record will have a more organic quality to it, something in the vein of TCH with a twist, rather than a regurgitation of MHTRTC.

Regardless, I'm sure it's going to be fabulous.

This picture is why I don't think its a double exposure, those hills/trees are basically just a silhouette on the album cover. Pretty good find Helicoid.

I've ordered five vinyls from Amazon in my time. Of them, three have arrived warped and one had the sleeve bent and beaten to hell. Every record I've ordered from Insound and Bleep have arrived perfectly fine.

Edit: ok I see what you're saying, that's possible it's two different pics.
yeah, there's that, I thought at first that the mountain looking shadows were that, shadows but the sun isn't down low enough unless there's some water reflection but even then...

Correct me if I am wrong, but that's the sun setting, not rising correct?

Yes it definitely looks more like a blast of anything bad but I just want to get the geometry of that picture, am I right in thinking we're looking west?
The view is the same as here only further away in this particular pic

bleep is back to having vinyl for sale, don't know re how amazon works it out with them/suppliers. i ordered from amazon because they charge when they actually ship (i found my turntable, and it was exactly (exactly to the penny!) what i had in my gear account! meant to be...), so saves some possible disappointment re frozen funds if for some reason bleep tell me my pre order can't be filled.

I think for the album cover they used a photo of a landscape shot of some mountains so that the sun behind San Francisco looks as if its coming up from behind those mountains. Not a double exposure but perhaps photoshop.

Edit: if you have a laptop open the picture and tilt the screen back. you'll see the round sun appear in front of the buildings. its a shot of mountains and a picture of San Francisco under it.

Aye, the last one I ordered (Tim Hecker's "Ravedeath, 1972") was the one with the battered sleeve, and it also ended up shipping about a week late. Amazon is good for a lot of things, but in my experience Vinyl is not one of them.

I could definitely see that, I've gotten electronics sent from amazon sometimes that are well packaged, but complete overkill for how small the product's packaging is. Just odd decisions being made in the packaging department at times.

With vinyl, maybe the 'anything goes' mentality is a wild card.

I can only imagine you ordered Tomorrow's Harvest from bleep then :D

Sure, that's what I meant. Two photo's blended was what I meant. Couldn't think of what to call it.

New clip also sort of reminds me of the Day of the Dead soundtrack. [Link]

so its either photoshop or double exposure, but maybe its a visual representation of what "tomorrow's harvest" means.

empty field, and the phantom of future buildings can be seen, kind of like a field of plants. apocalypse is the harvest of our society (which is represented by buildings)

Dumb question, but do you think XXXXXX (triple X, times 2 -- the bros) / XXXXXX .... has something to do with sex/porn reference?

I said a similar thing earlier. The buildings are like the ghosts of civilization.

1.) Google searched "Semena Mertvykh". Nothing but BoC-related results.
2.) Decided to try searching "Semena Mertvykh -boards of canada"
3.) First result contained "he states: "Khristos iz mertvykh voskres, budet to" with the title "...Romance re- and Russian voz-"
4.) FoxLingo Translation --> Russian To English (Google Translate)
5.) Semena Mertvykh --> Semena Mertvykh ??
6.) "*Did you mean Семена Мертвых*?
7.) Семена Мертвых --> Seeds of the Dead

Another thought: the use of the Russian language in track-list (Cold War...)
What are you talking about? I can help with russian.

No problem, there's a lot of pages appeared today.
A few people have said similar things, it's food for thought.

Can't help thinking that "Tomorrow's Harvest" might refer to the birth of radical terrorism (possibly following the activities of the CIA in the 70s and 80s?).
