Btw, am I the only one thinking some songs really sound different? In Turquoise Hexagon Sun for instance, the main melody does not sound exactly as it sounds on the CD version.

a lot of times, vinyl masters will have different equalization. for example, palace posy off of tomorrow's harvest sounds, to me, a lot different - the bass of the kick drum is far louder. this makes the song sound totally different.Moloch wrote:Btw, am I the only one thinking some songs really sound different? Ah dang...if it's a vinyl problem it wouldn't be the first from this batch at least, and sounds like Bleep's been good about dealing w/issues. GL tracking it down. I'd better check mine out too.digitaldisc0 wrote:Still having problems with my pressings unfortunately. Tweaked the tracking weight and alignment to no avail.

Or audiogasm! Just getting up now and about to make my way to the UPS office to pick up my 3lp's and then it's up to the practice space to rip them while playing them over a massive PA. Today is going to be a GREAT day!!Moloch wrote:Spot on, some songs actually sound more layered (An eagle in your mind, Turquoise Hexagon Sun, Peacock Tail to name a few). Complete eargasm at first listen!
I think the print was for pre-orders only.polarbear wrote:a question: will always be the stickers and print in buying the albums repress of boc? or only for a limited time?

At 3.5g of tracking force I would think you'd have a fairly bass heavy response - lowering the tracking force to 2g will probably not render audio as it should sound; the 3.5g recommendation from Audio Technica accounts for the weight of your particular tonearm/cartridge combination. If you're having a jumping needle try adjusting the anti-skate weight (assuming your turntable has one).arvy wrote:I really love the mhtrc sound, aquarius blew me away with new details, devil in the details, you could feel the sky, music is math also sound amazing! But have "needle jumping" and a little distorted sound on 1969, didnt test THC though, but it seems that the vinyl feels "heavier", dunno maybe it's just me.
Also wanna ask, i have Audio Technica at lp usb 1200, and manufacturer says 3,5 g of tracking force, if i drop my tracking force to 2-2,5, will it improve quality?
