nevermind all of the people who have nothing better to do than criticize and get impatient over the wait.. there will be more music released by boc, you just have to relax and enjoy your life.

I'm posting this screen capture again to renew any possibly diminished faith in the fact that the band is indeed still alive and working together on something:

I betcha they have the album almost done except for one song where one of them have a specific sound in mind that he can't seem to replicate with their current gear. So he is learning how to and then building his own synth to sound exactly like what he heard in his mind when he came up with the idea.

I was just thinking: Isn't a specific date ascribed to all this 2012-doomsayer nonsense December 21, 2012? 21-12-2012?

The date of that myspace "in the studio" post is December 22, 2011--wouldn't an album entitled "New Clear Dawn," appearing a day AFTER the alleged armageddon, and a year after said post, be totally f*cking epic?!?!

A stretch perhaps, but...

Hopefully it doesn't get too dicey on the 21st...

I think you're right. I think they've been trying to record 10 minutes of silence for the last track, and haven't been able to record the right kind of silence, and so they're going to synthesize the silence instead to get it just right.

Criticizing after years and years of silence isn't being impatient. I certainly do not lose sleep over this and am quite enjoying life. I just check if there is any new info every now and then, and lo and behold, there is still nothing.

Also, a status message from a year ago saying "in the studio" is meaningless, as they probably will never stop making music for themselves.

I think their days look more like this:

They must get sick of hearing their own stuff if they're presumably working on it for almost seven years and counting

Though there's a number of bands coming out with stuff very soon/have already done so (Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.) so maybe boc is in there too.

I honestly wonder how much stuff the brothers have made just for their own listening pleasure.

I believe they have not released anything because us regular human beings do not deserve to hear their new work.

I swear. They are going to release a Skrillex collab, possibly also a beat with Tyler the Creator or Lil Wayne rapping over it.

Just to brain-fuck the shit out of everyone.

And then laugh as people still worship them and they have enough money to not work another day in their lives, sit at home on computers and read what people say about them on message boards for humor.

Whether something new comes out or not, whether they're trolling or not, Campfire Headphase and Loveless are still going to be my two favourite albums. Not bothered.
