In my opinion. And I answered about the print earlier. Look up ^

The stickers are included with every copy of the new repressed albums and EP's - the 12" litho print is an exclusive to those who pre-ordered from Bleep.

so listened to the first 2 LP's and they sounded fantastic. Geogaddi sounded like a hitherto undiscovered extra layer of weirdness has been found. minor wavy effect as the records played but not enough for me to fetch the pitchfork.
now i'll admit that hearing that TCH was pressed by The Vinyl Factory and also that it's not my favourite LP of theirs might be colouring my judgement. but it feels thinner and lacking the oomph of the other two and the original TCH CD. my recollections of TCH are of a very mellow but vivid, hallucinatory vibe and this feels mellow to the point of lifeless and the atmospheres muted. also a more pronounced warp than the first two.
there is a nice smudge on side 2 which causes crackle during '84 Pontiac Dream. i also had to remove a thin piece of vinyl material that was attached to the outer edge. all just points to a lack of TLC. oh, and now i just heard 20 seconds of loud ticks and pops (not the normal irregular little dust bits you hear) during the quiet outro to Slow This Bird Down. i knew Farewell Fire would be a crackle fest as it's so quiet and would show up the quality of the pressing and it has not let me down.
i think it's the least impressive sounding by far. not terrible just nowhere near as good as the other two. as Meatloaf said 2 outta 3 ain't bad but it could easily have been perfect if they had let someone else (like the German or French plants that pressed the other two) have the honour.

Cursing myself at the moment. A week ago, I had enough cash in the bank to finally order the LP bundle and not be totally broke. So, I get to the checkout and realize that since my credit card has expired, and I have yet to renew it/get another..I am unable to pay for the order. I transferred the cost from my linked bank account to Paypal, of course this process takes 6 days (I find this ridiculous, as the money is taken from your bank after about 2 days) and now I am STILL waiting for it to go through. Most likely, it will tomorrow and then I can finally purchase it. BUT--the LP bundle is a limited deal, which if I am correct expires today.
Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed. Considering I was a TH preorder customer, I'm wondering if I'll even get the discount OR the print if I order something after tomorrow. Maybe since the bundle is still in my cart, I'll still be able to buy it tomorrow. Just really annoyed--I thought I would be able to use my debit card to pay for the order (which is linked to Paypal, and how I bought TH) but I guess by not having a valid credit card it wont even let me use my debit as a payment option.
So yeah...bummed. Was excited to finally have all the LP's for a reasonable price..guess I'll be buying them individually if I ever figure this mess out.

arvy wrote:I really love the mhtrc sound, aquarius blew me away with new details, devil in the details, you could feel the sky, music is math also sound amazing! But have "needle jumping" and a little distorted sound on 1969, didnt test THC though, but it seems that the vinyl feels "heavier", dunno maybe it's just me.
Also wanna ask, i have Audio Technica at lp usb 1200, and manufacturer says 3,5 g of tracking force, if i drop my tracking force to 2-2,5, will it improve quality?
i have the AT-LP 120, if you have the GREEN stylus(atn95e), the tracking force should be set at around 2.0
3.5 (for the GREEN stylus) is not correct. i had the same needle jumping problem (like really really bad) when i first got my AT LP....and the instructions aren't clear, apparently the AT LP 120 comes with one of two different stylus, but the instructions only read for the one ( the stylus that isn't GREEN) there is an audio technica set up your turntable video on youtube, that's how i figured it out.
but yeah, once you adjust that, the needle skipping should stop.
as far as the pressings, i have no issues....they sound amazing. i had a little jacket dust on mine, nothing some cleaner didn't fix.

At 3.5g of tracking force I would think you'd have a fairly bass heavy response - lowering the tracking force to 2g will probably not render audio as it should sound; the 3.5g recommendation from Audio Technica accounts for the weight of your particular tonearm/cartridge combination. If you're having a jumping needle try adjusting the anti-skate weight (assuming your turntable has one).

Thanks for the help guys!!!
I've checked the manual one more time and it's says 1,5-2,5 grams, and the YOUTUBE video says 3,5-5
(this is for WHITE stylus, and I have GREEN) didn't notice that at first , now it's sound less distorted and the stylus don't collect dust that badly. Either way gonna invest in the stylus in the future, any recommendations?
Listen to the albums one more time today, and really love TCH, gently eerie sound with psychedelic guitar loops, I think it may become my favourite record from them. MHTRC on other hand has very clear detailed sound, almost crystal clear. And Geo sound almost boggle my mind on some parts, pretty intense listen though, even distorted, like listen to the album for the first time. So every record have it's own sound for me, love them all, looking forward to EP's.
