Are you sure you got the right track?Goiter Sanchez wrote:Maquarie Ridge by Boards Of Canada.
The harps and trumpet (?) are an odd choice, but they sure work.

Well, around the 02:30 mark those instruments come in and do their thing until 02:55 where the ethereal vocals take over... That's the right track right?Derail wrote:Are you sure you got the right track?Goiter Sanchez wrote:Maquarie Ridge by Boards Of Canada.

Yeah, that's the right track, but I don't hear any trumpets. Maybe there is, sometimes it's tough to distinguish the instruments they use.Goiter Sanchez wrote:Well, around the 02:30 mark those instruments come in and do their thing until 02:55 where the ethereal vocals take over... Well, mabye it's a tuba... Either way it sounds like they are utilizing a brass instrument in a part of this track.Derail wrote:Yeah, that's the right track, but I don't hear any trumpets. Geez, I didn't even know about that track.Goiter Sanchez wrote:'Hankie' By Aphex Twin
This is track 04 off of the UK edition of 'Selected Ambient Works Volume II' so not everyone heard it if they bought the release on Sire Records. That's unfortunate because I think it's one of the best tracks on the whole album; it's a pretty disturbing piece, kinda like having a really shocking and painful revelation...
On top of 'Hankie' there is another track called 'Stone In Focus' that was only made available on the UK vinyl release of SAW II. It is really beautiful, contemplative and over 10 minutes long. I'm not sure if it was ever made available on Bleep though...zander two wrote:Geez, I didn't even know about that track.Goiter Sanchez wrote:'Hankie' By Aphex Twin

I love "Stone In Focus"! I had to download it, but nontheless it's still incredible. My second favorite right after "Rhubarb".Goiter Sanchez wrote:On top of 'Hankie' there is another track called 'Stone In Focus' that was only made available on the UK vinyl release of SAW II.
