Real or not I've really enjoyed listening to this! I wish more people would make music like this.

I grabbed it. Listening to the first track now actually.

So far its very good, but it acutely reminds me of very old BoC. If this is legit new stuff its the bros going SUPER old school. It has incorporated so many of their old tics. Overall seems a little poppy/simple for BOC.

If these were uploaded as MHRTC b-sides that would be something. Whoever made these is good at what they do though. Like Mexicola and 747Music said -- rep your own brand!

Edit: I've popped these into a dropbox folder. PM me if you'd like me to share it with you.

Edit 2: This should work: http://db.tt/7oCpVFVM

I uploaded it here, I will remove access after a short while.

ftp://138.250.12.2/

username = secret

password = password

You will need to open it up in windows explorer or some FTP client

And another mirror: http://bit.ly/TWeTkv

To me it sounds a bit too much at times, a bit chaotic really. I definitely do hear the boc influence and their techniques, but imo it lacks the soul. At the first listen it didn't really grab my attention like their official albums did when I first heard them.

But I do think this producer kinda figured out the method of producing their detuned melodies which on its own is a great merit. But please don't do it on BoC's behalf.

I dunno, to me it's like Tycho, it pushes all the right buttons but it's just missing the soul?

i don't think this particular upload is real (and i haven't even listened to it yet),

but have there ever been any BoC legit leaks of more recent material (not old tunes etc) that this forum thought were fake?

curious to dig up the archives. :p

shame this guy has to put his music out as fakes. probably quite talented when he's not imitating boc.

Yeah it´s like attempt to create something that is BoC but it turned out to be more like Com Truise/BoC-crossover thingy. Nice morningmusic though.

In the properties of each mp3, the comment states "© Warp LLC 2012 - NOT FOR RELEASE". Funny to see Warp as a "Limited Liability Company" tailored to US jurisdictions :wink:
A quick search and you'll actually find there are a couple of real Warp LLC's out there, one being "Wasatch Area Race Productions LLC". Now that's just hilarious.
The music was pleasant nevertheless.

Seen the track numbers too? 2.01, 2.04... I think we're supposed to think this is disc 2 of something. Hehe. Those track titles aren't very BoCish though.

I hope this is something that someone's found and retagged as BoC rather than someone uploading their own stuff and pretending to be BoC.

That reminds me..
Mike: We also started working on an acoustic version of Music Has the Right to Children years ago and it still exists.
Marcus: The reason why we haven't put something like this out is that it can seem like a retread of something you've already done."
That Helios version is nice and all but damn, the real deal exists. Maybe one day eh, here's to hoping.

No and I mean, each to their own. I just meant it sounded to me like someone trying to sound like BoC but it just wasn't clicking with me. It is at least something to listen to.
