This still has significance right?MrMessiah wrote:Nobody's confirmed or hinted anything. There was a rumour it was going to be called "New Clear Dawn" because MDG (I think?) or someone else in hexagon sun registered the domain newcleardawn.com, but anyway MDG said that was actually something else not BoC related. So no, we don't know anything.

Atleast we know they are infact working on new material.

i know there has been discussion about this over on watmm etc, the answer 'Yes' to two questions. The answer to one question or both, many take it as an answer 'Yes rumours are rife' but imo it's an answer 'Yes' overall, rumours are rife and yes there is truth in it. then again its really just one question, any truth in this? because the first one is not really a question only that the person asking has decided to plonk a question mark in after the word 'rife'.

I have a feeling - something in the wind, perhaps, a whisper - that there will be something released this year. Not that this means anything to anyone, of course. I will feel a fool if it doesn't come to pass, but I would put a large amount of money on it.

always nice to see a tool fan. their music is more like a philosophy/psychology than anything.
i saw them live during the 10,000 days tour. it was without a doubt, the most amazing concert you could ever imagine. the energy the crowd shared that night was indescribable, absolutely amazing visuals surrounded the entire arena.

Upon listening to Geogaddi all the way through again for the billionth time I was reminded of the brothers' astounding attention to detail with all the tiny infinitesimal layers of texture and sound. So for them to take 8+ years to make a new album is a very good sign.

yea it could be a double yin yang album, lots of experimentation backed with an easy going side, over 2 hours of treasure to last us 10 years! A 6 part vinyl set! we can only dream.TaoTapeTao wrote:Upon listening to Geogaddi all the way through again for the billionth time I was reminded of the brothers' astounding attention to detail with all the tiny infinitesimal layers of texture and sound. In 2005 interviews they removed the secrecy about their background of being brothers, announced that one was moving halfway across the world from the other with his partner, and by all appearances handed Warp twelve minutes of extra material to stretch into an EP the next year as a consolation. Most likely they've been raising families and working regular jobs, and if were lucky have been bouncing back and forth some material in the two years since the black box appeared.TaoTapeTao wrote:So for them to take 8+ years to make a new album is a very good sign.

^This is entirely speculation (not the interview part obviously )on your part and though yes I'm sure it hasn't been 8 years of constant work they've said themselves they were in the studio. And that was years ago.Bryan wrote:In 2005 interviews they removed the secrecy about their background of being brothers, announced that one was moving halfway across the world from the other with his partner, and by all appearances handed Warp twelve minutes of extra material to stretch into an EP the next year as a consolation.
