Hey just wanted to pop in and use this account for something now that some actual BOC related stuff is going down!

It's probably been mentioned in this thread but this quote I think may be related to what we're getting from BOC:

MDG: "As I said, I asked and BOC said they have never heard of those guys. As for the buried early tapes, as they were, the band don't seem interested in acknowledging them now. This is particularly because they've been working on a new exhaustive collection of their favourite early work, for future release, which would take in parts of many previous compilations including the ones that have previously leaked."

I really hope this is the case!

I was just looking at that post some moments ago while browsing bocpages, it could be the case!

There's a lot of stuff in that collection of statements on BOCpages that hint at it too. Those statements about the box set coming out after Tomorrow's Harvest gave me hope over the last six years. This might be it finally coming to fruition.

Or something completely different. Honestly, I'm open to all kinds of possibilities.

what if "Societas X" just means Warp 10, and they play the soundboard plus some extra stuff. Its 5am here and I cant sleep so please disregard this.

Anyone else think that 'Tape' means it will be the first official release of old tunes kind of stuff? And not a new production or a mix?

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but on the FB group it's suggested the description for Societas X changed briefly and showed that it was a 2 hour mix tape of the bands favourite bands and groups

Nevermind I see it.. But it doesn't say anything about different bands

It doesn't mention songs from other bands but it doesn't mention unreleased tracks from BoC too, so who knows what we're going to hear. I still have hope for a surprise thrown into the mix.

I'm sure it's their own music. If not, it will still be cool to hear what they like themselves

I'm still confident it will be BoC material, or at least partly. It would be a huge blunder on Warp's part to put BoC virtually at the finale of their anniversary event, knowing full well how anticipated anything from them is, for it to just be a mix of their favourite tracks from other artists. Doesn't compute to me.
