These record stores don't already have the records in stock so that they can listen to them too right? How could leaks be avoided if that were the case

I still think there’s a chance that Tape 05 isn’t on Inferno, although I won’t be surprised if it is Father And Son.

Reach for the Dead was released before the Lake Dolores listening session so maybe we will hear a new song before the 22nd.

I'm here for it. I actually really like the F

Mary Anne Hobbs just announced on 6Music that she'll be playing new music from BoC tonight. I suspect it'll be Tape 05, but hell, you never know...

Yes, it's was Tape 05. About 27 mins into the program if you want to relisten. She said that they had asked permission (I assume from Warp) to rip it and play it.

Which is interesting as there's clearly no version available for radio play.

Evidence that the Tape 05 music is not on Inferno..?

I'm willing to bet money that Tape 05 is on the album. Hard cash!

Yes, with the end of the track having radio static voices like it was going to an interlude makes sense "Somewhere Right Now In The Future" is 2:26 so has to be an interlude/vignette.

Tape 05 sounds lo-fi compared to the introductory video. Inferno could have a mixtape quality, where the recordings have different timbres from track to track. Societas was referenced in an album description, and there is a continuous mix…

THIS is fun and hopefully pushes enough demand from Warp to actually, oh, I don't know, DROP A TRACK OH MY GOD I can't believe we only have Magic Window so far!

I loved those books… BOC’s music itself almost has a magic eye effect too.

I still don't think Tape 05 is on the album, doesn't quite make any sense to me. The album is out in a few weeks, surely it wouldn't still be a question mark at this point. I think if a new track is released between now and the sessions, then it 100% isn't on there.

in 2013, the ------ / ------ / ------ / XXXXXX / ------ / ------ records had a little whimsical call sign that was actually one of the myriad of sounds used on the album, this one specifically used as the outro to track number 15 - New Seeds.

It's not hard to imagine that Tape 05 will have tons of its actual audio content peppered throughout Inferno at various degrees.
