The original guy had the theory.
“Clearly I have one of six similar Boards of Canada records released today and distributed “randomly” around the world "
Edit
Yeah, too slow.

Finally we have all the tangible evidence so people can stop saying it's a hoax hands down! I honestly thought it was real the second the Julie and Candy video was changed- as that's an almost direct link to the brothers and is no doubt legit. And the sound clip sounds like BoC and everything.
Though the whole record thing being in different countries is not necessarily a good idea... it might take some time for anyone else to post anything about them if thats true..

Yeah, between the update on the Julie and Candy video, and Warp following the record store on twitter... those are 2 pretty direct fucking confirmations. People can stop holding their breath now.
edit: Even after all that, I still call bullshit on this Ian Stewart guy. He can fuck right off.

Within each of these six vinyls is a golden ticket invitation to the brother's recording studio along with a tab of acid.

Someone in the /mu/ thread theorized that the other 5 records are in the other Geogaddi listening party locations.
London,
New York, Tokyo, Edinburgh, Paris, and Berlin
Definitely gonna look for it here in Berlin tomorrow.

i'm curious, are people from tokyo actually gonna be posting on these forums and such? that's the country i see as being the problem

For reference, I put together everything I could find about the listening parties some time ago:
http://bocpages.org/wiki/Geogaddi_listening_parties
London: Union Chapel, Islington (30 January 2002)
New York City: Angel Orensanz Foundation Center for the Arts (30 January 2002)
Tokyo
Edinburgh
Berlin: Roter Salon, Volksbühne (30 January 2002)
Paris
I was unable to figure out the venues for the other three. City list is from Warp themselves.

that is, tokyo would be a problem if the records are in these party cities
i could try and contact them when they roll around to daytime
