Alternate Reality Game
Yeah, I don't think that's what it is. Even if this whole thing is not a big hoax, just something involving puzzles and codes doesn't make it an "Alternate Reality Game".
that's the term everyone uses for these kind of things. I didn't "invent" this, of course it's not an alternate reality game..

ARGs have narratives, characters, stories... now granted, we're still early on in this thing, so it could happen, but I sort of doubt we're going to hear about the battle between the Evil Hexagon King and the mysterious Sons of Sand.

I've fb'd the shop to get a confirm, might have to phone though.#

The shop has been called by more than one person who have all been told they've heard nothing about it. Plus, before his tweets claiming to have found a BoC vinyl the guy tweeted "watch this" - obvious troll.

And of course, the most compelling evidence - 5-5-3-7-8-0-0-8 is the classic BOOBLESS on an upside down calculator.

Well, he could have, but at least he didn't push it too far. Some trolls don't know when to stop.

I noticed. Unfortunately I never experienced it, over the weekend I abandoned all technology and went camping with my boyfriend. Which just HAD to be the weekend that BoC went and did this, lucky me. So I never saw it to begin with...

What surprises me is that the music snippet sounds like something they would have done in the 90s or in Geogaddi era. They used to change style from record to record: Geogaddi was different from MHTRTC, Campfire was different from Geogaddi (and MHTRTC). So I expected the new record to be different from anything they had done before, but this sounds like a combination of Geogaddi (In the Annexe, Gyroscope and 1969 voice) and Old Tunes.
But that's not a bad thing; I would like a record combining Geogaddi claustrophobia with Old Tunes warmth..

I'm sure the band would say you made the right choice.

Which is what makes me wonder if they're teasing the fabled BoCset

You can also view the codes directly with this tool: http://stefansundin.com/stuff/youtube/y ... tions.html (Step #2)

They are definitely still there, and they haven't moved since yesterday.
