So my local record store just so happened to have Silver Wilkinson on vinyl! They said they just got it in today and I bought what appeared to be the only one. Picture for proof:

What is the point for having Japanese bonus tracks? Is it just a theme, or something Warp does? I know BoC has them, too.

Do you guys know where can I find the lyrics of À tout à l'heure? As a french guy, I'd be glad to understand more than just the title of the song

Bonus tracks are included on Japanese releases to encourage the Japanese consumers to purchase locally, rather than importing. Importing is actually cheaper for them than buying locally, so that extra incentive of a bonus track is there to persuade them to go down their local record store and pay more money for the release.

Woke up to download link in my email this morning. Listening to the first few tracks.. so far impression is: Gorgeous.

One of my very favorite things about his music is how at the end of his tracks he suddenly slips into some other ambient reverie.

Or how he leads into them with some other ambient reveries- Look at Orion! is introduced with four or five heart-breaking snippets , it's as if we are privy to steven wilkonson's brain's musical voice mail, he's checking the messages and finds a good one.

I just finished listening to this album. I have to say it's incredibly emotional in a way a much more introverted work than Mind Bokeh. I love how You Won't Remember evokes Old Friends, a bit of Simon and Garfunkel. I'm so taken with his sound that I grab all the bits off of youtube and load them into my iphone to play in the car even if its just a 30 sec thing.

Anyway this album feels strung together with those vignettes expanded out. In fact the first Daffodils is such a piece as he used a snippet of it on a small video he put up. And thank you to whomever uploaded the Japanese Bonus track if it was someone here. I grabbed it too.

this really is a great piece of work and for me is right up there with Vignetting and Ambivalence.

To tell you the truth this album reminds me of Ovals and Emeralds more than anything else.

A lot of the distortion and reverb is almost offputting at times, but it adds to the ebb and flow of this work.

At this point i'd probably throw this up there as my 3rd fav from Bibio. 1. Vignetting 2. Handcranked.

I never knew that. Haha, it's kind of ironic though since you have people from other countries importing the Japanese releases solely for the bonus track, which had the intent of being purchased locally rather than being imported in the first place.

If this interview was already published here forgive.. I saw the FADER mix interview and wanted to add this as I thought it addressed some interesting subjects etc

I like what he has to say about where he is musically and his attitude. I'd had rather the same impression and am glad to hear an artist not feel he has to change names to address the different music he wishes to put out, that it can all co-exist under the name Bibio.

À tout à l'heure alone is worth the buy, I think. I can dig the album, and I like how it starts out. It reminds me a lot of Ambivalence Avenue, which is actually hard for me to listen to. I think he added the right amount of groove with this one, without mashing too much that is. More listens to come, but I like it so far. I think he's chilling out a little bit now that he's had a few releases through Warp, instead of trying so hard.

I think reading interviews helps get me into bands easier.. helps me put a personality and attitude to an artist.
