I too had to google "vaporwave" and found Oneohtrix Point Never included on the Wikipedia article on the genre. Now I'm even more confused, as I think his stuff is basically just experimental electronic music. I guess I've never understood "micro-genres." I love Mr. Lopatin's work, of course--I suppose I need to do more research on this.

Cool little mix, Nicky. Not sure if that was you or the original artist, but easy on the bitcrusher fades. Less is more.

I still don't get the term vaporwave. This sounds more like 16-bit video-game music to me. Genesis or snes. Also, lo-fi new-age music. Half of it sounds like something from jazz jackrabbit or earthbound, the other half like cusco through a bitcrusher. Which is great, don't get me wrong. If this is vaporwave, Tempianetic was vaporwave I guess. I'm still very reluctant to use the term.

Cupz, this type of mix is not about subtlety and nuance. I will not go easy on the bitcrusher fades, they are fantastic.

Also it's Nikki, not Nicky :)
