The images in the Pugsley link remind me of the arctic car photo that was posted around the RSD incident. I've a feeling we're starting to dig into their private lives, not sure if it would be ethical to push further? Then again, it could as well be that we're on a completely wrong track.

awesome... maybe like in the davyan cowboy original you could've taken your bike up with you and dropped into the sea, then rode out on the beach, then on for a chippy in North Berwick....

What I mean is that the reference Baile Nan Trodach made to Dayvan Cowboy is not accidental. It comes from the video posted by Coastkid71.

Aside from everything else, the general consensus seems to be that the cassette tape is genuine?
What's behind this consensus? The handwriting? The sounds used? The sound of the recording?
I don't know what to think.

The handwriting seems to be easy to replicate (just look at the Goodwill tapes), I guess the synths sound like BoC... It definately came from a cassette. An older, slightly eroded one at that.
it could go either way
if MDG doesn't post anytime soon, then I would think that means its genuine
right?

I've never liked Midas Touch and don't like this either, but it's always cool to hear new stuff.

Where did the confirmation come from? I was really not liking that track anyway so it's alright if it's not real

I was suspicious about the simplicity of the remix, but nobody said it was finished anyway. But yeah, I'd like to hear what makes it fake. Maybe it's some other remix from one of the countless versions of the single? That would amaze me too though.

Best fake ever, mdg is literally at a loss for words.

The tape drop outs in Midas were an obvious sign compared to the fidelity of the rest of the track, and there just happened not to be any drop outs in the new song. The fakes have gotten much worse this year. There's also a perfectly good actual new record to discuss. If I were him, I'd be tired of painfully naive/bipolar nonsense too. At this rate I don't think we should expect to hear from them again anytime soon.

If I were them/him, I'd think in this particular case, it's pretty funny. Hell Interface has always been a joke-y obscure kind of alter ego from day one - if someone goes out of their way to create a fake based on a joke song by a joke group on a top 10 list where they were taking the piss 14 years ago, I have to guess they had a good laugh about it. The premise sure beats the usual attempts at creating the usual fakes that crop up.
I do agree that the hoax within a hoax was pretty lame, those short samples were really weak.
That being said, I'd like to see a new Hell Interface song for real. It seems like they've kept it in mind, after all, they uploaded that higher quality logo with the hidden hex code circa the RSD incident.

I suspect Agata, ZX-Pilot and Davefrom2001 were behind this.
