Trans Canada Highway and Twoism sound horrible, same as Campfire Headphase did. Warp should be ashamed for doing this to the artist that pays their bills at this point. I'm adding my voice demanding a recall for all 3 of those releases.

Still didn't get mine but from your feedback I already know what to expect.
At this point I'm pretty sure this was just a scam from Warp, charging the regular price for a low cost pressing isn't maximizing their profit is scamming their clients. I really think people should be complaining on Warp's facebook, I wonder how many people feel like there is something wrong with the LPs but just think that's some usual issue with vinyl pressing.
I would really want to hear from MDG to know if the band is aware of this fiasco.

Still waiting to hear from Bleep. It's clearly "The Vinyl Factory" using cheap vinyl, poor pressing technique and increasing the gain somehow. It's absolute bullshit. That said, the vinyl I have which wasn't pressed there, i.e Geogaddi, IABPOITC and MHTRTC sound great.
Some people over at WATMM (just browsing) have said they think it's been done on purpose. Pretty extreme but possible.

Why???
Just sent another email to Bleep about the EP's being just as crap. We shall see what they say...
Has anyone contacted Warp directly?

They think someone at the plant dislikes the band? I don't know, seems fairly unlikely. It's probably just shit quality control.

Sounds like bullshit to me.

I sent an e-mail to a lot of different people this morning (Warp, Bleep, et al) about the whole thing - the issues everyone has experienced, plus a couple that were seemingly unique to me. Goal being that someone at every step of the process needs to be aware of what is going on, the band needs to know how their music is being treated by their label and so on.
I'm not really one to make waves, but for me, 4 out of the 6 have varying issues, and I'm not even counting Corsair on Geogaddi. My copy of MHTRTC was missing the first LP initially, and the first LP of TCH had a huge scratch. The second LP, well, we know the story there too well. "Limited number of copies affected"...yeah, no.
IABPOITC is really the only one that I received that is 100% what it should have been. I can look past the Geogaddi thing if they can confirm a repress of TCH/TCH/Twoism handled by a competent company.

Intentionally damaged music being accidentally damaged. It's kind of a funny thing to be upset about when you think about it.
My copies of twoism and trans canada sound great, though I agree the quality is inferior to iabp and geogaddi. Not inferior enough for me to be bothered though, I guess.

well that was unexpected, they say, bleep, that TCH will be December for replacements but they sent me out Side E/F of Geogaddi, one with Corsair. Havent played it yet but i wonder is it from same stock or a corrected repress. Anyone get this replacement?

'Hi there
We are very sorry that this has happened with your EP Reissue.
Would you be able to send us photos of any visible damage so that we can pass this on? We will be in touch as soon as we can about replacements.
Bleep Support'
Not sure I'll be able to send photos (this is a flaw rather than 'damage' I suspect) but 'We will be in touch as soon as we can about replacements.' sounds like a re-press to me?

Bought IABPOITC this afternoon, and it sounds awesome. I didn't buy the other two EPs tho... those early feedbacks frightened me.

Yeah not surprisingly IABPOITC sounds awesome. That German plant has a pretty good rep.

All my EPs sound great. I'm particularly impressed with In a Beautiful Place.
Can I just say that it genuinely upsets me how some people are reacting to the vinyl reissues? They didn't HAVE to repress them, and if some of you are really as upset as your posts are making you sound, go on eBay and spend the extra dough for the originals. People are so demanding these days, like it's owed to you to get what you want, when you want it. Just enjoy the damn music. If you want to return your faulty vinyls fine please stop making it sound like a sacred promise has been broken. Theyre like $20 records, send them back for new ones and stop complaining. It's embarassing.

Nothing visible on the Trans Canada Highway vinyl but clearly a pressing fault running through most of side 2. Only bought it in the hope it would sound better than the original white vinyl! Not picked up my IABPOITC yet. Glad I didn't need TCH and Twoism but I really feel for you folks waiting on these pressings.

Ugh, you think you're being pragmatic, but you're just being an arse. People deserve to have a decent product for the price they paid. Ironically, you are complaining about people complaining, so just turn it in. Go and enjoy your records. This thread is pretty clear in it's content, why open it and spout off when there is no need?

Pardon? Either you're trolling or you're clueless.
'It's embarrassing' - well you're kind of right in that I actually feel embarrassed for you posting this. Seriously, you're having a laugh pal. What a prat.
Explain to me, please, which part of - Pay my hard earned money and then receive a load of rubbish in return - is 'demanding'? I'm not asking for the moon, I'm asking for the product that was advertised.
I'd love to
'enjoy the damn music' but sadly some berk in a factory didn't do their job properly and let a shed load of knackered records go out to the public, resulting in an incredibly annoying click every time the record revolves - which kind of spoils the enjoyment somewhat. Incidentally, I've spent the last 4 years or so collecting BOC vinyl via Ebay, at vastly inflated prices (I won't tell you how much I paid for Geogaddi, but that's also 'embarrassing'). Maybe you've got a limitless supply of cash sat around? I don't. In fact, I could barely afford the money to buy this re-press, let alone the £40-50+ for a second hand one.
Honestly, some people...

The one record I got from bleep (beautiful place) has a dot of epoxy-like substance right on the middle of the title track. What the heck man.

I've received that message too.
There is no visible damage so I made some recordings of the worse parts...
Maybe I'm being too fussy.. but surely a brand new record shouldn't have this kind of noise problem.
I certainly don't have this problem with any other record and Geogaddi / IABPOITC sound great.

This is seriously unacceptable, I've already went back to get another copy (twice) of TCH and it still sounds the same. I just got Trans Canada Highway, which is so unbelievably bad sounding I had to upload this track:
Give it a listen, it is completely fine in between tracks but when it comes onto a song it sounds like somebody is breaking pencils in your speakers.
