This is exciting. When did the ASCAP information first go up, did anyone see?

I see your point. I hedged at the time and bought a few extra copies of MHTRTC and Geogaddi to give to friends. I really didn't think there would ever be an official release of some great tracks and many half baked sketches (my opinion!) I guess we are all guilty of "stealing" them at the moment right? Is that off?

Can't wait for Whitewater, Carcan, Nova Scotia Robots and Original Nlogax in uncompressed format tho.

They aren't releasing anything until you finish listening to the last one properly.

mdg replied to the supposed Four Tet's sample but not to this...

mdg doesn't just respond to threads if you holler at him enough, though considering how quick he is to shoot down meaningless connections and false rumours the fact that he hasn't been in here yet does nothing but add to the suspense.

Samples have legal ramifications, I'm guessing that's why the reply was quick.

What's that about feeling bad for "stealing" Old Tunes?

I don't believe it was ever sold in the first place, correct? Simply given to friends and family. I'm sure that said friends probably made some copies of the tape too and gave them to other friends within a small circle. A different era man.

We just happened to have received copies of the tapes. Meant for us, no. Stealing? Don't know if I'd go that far. If you torrented something out of the main discography then yes, you "stole" it (as much as "stealing" is stealing when that term is used as a synonym for "copy") but not so much with Old Tunes unless they re-release it for a price and you steal that (whatever).

Anyways yeah, I don't think they need to do a total re-release of Old Tunes. How about a Bocset with some serious goodies? In including a bunch of old tracks, what constitutes Old Tunes might be in there, I'm sure, doesn't mean it has to be Old Tunes exactly though. That'd be a bit underwhelming. I hope the inevitable Bocset is a true holy grail of electronic music. I'll buy like ten copies.

Why does it say Cold Earth at the bottom? Is that just part of the data from TH?
