yes... that zorn! i am a part of a crew of people who maintain his venue called the Stone in NYC.

These timbres/textures definitely sound to be coming from Tomorrow's Harvest.

The track itself came from doing what the music called for.

I LOVE MIKE PATTON, FIRSTLY.

The instrumentation & production sound like a more layered, aggressive approach to Tomorrow's Harvest & the lyrical content translate some of the vibes Boards were exploring with that album. This is lovely!

It sounds like Trans Canada Highway / Beautiful Place Out in the Country EP to me.

The sound of this is giving me BoC stomach feelings in a way I haven't had in a long time ... like how I felt discovering them for the first time ... it sounds like they've perfected the vibes they pushed on Tomorrow's Harvest. Worked out the kinks.

The vocals remind me of The Congos.

I feel similarly. Sounds like Trans Canada Highway, IABPOITC, and Tomorrow's Harvest all at once in a way. The tremolo pan in a is really T. Harvesty and it does have some melodic similarities to the beginning of Split Your Infinities as someone pointed out. The drums sound like Trans Canada Highway era. The vibe is kind of Kid for Todayesque.

The first listen had me scratching my head because I coulnd't get past the lyrics but the second listen was about 10 times better. Damn. I actually was liking the lyrics the second time around.

I like the crickets and footsteps at the end. Nice subtle touch.

The whale sound around 3:16 is pretty sweet. SOOOO much going on in here.

Yeah Twoist has it, Split Infinities vibe. The song after couple of listens sounds great, but yeah agree with those that think the vocals are bit too much.

Whoa, this shit is pretty good, two different styles mixes together, I like it. Always been a fan of Midas Touch aswell.

I was straight into this.

What's up with the release though? It's not listed as a track on the vinyl or CD or on iTunes. There's a limited edition "Limited indies only VIOLET coloured vinyl LP on Lex. Edition of 2500" which I guess might come with a bonus disc. But then again it's the same price as the normal LP and there's just no clue from anywhere how this remix will be made available.

All I have read is that it will be available on 29th January. Do we think this will be download only?

Not sure about the Pink Floyd 'drop' in there, but the vocals just ruin it. Sooo out of place with the texture of Boards music, and all the subtlety is lost. Release the instrumental pleeeeease

This would fit as a Japanese bonus track to TH, or as a replacement to the Odd Nosdam remix on trans canada. Can't decide if this sounds more like TH or trans canada. It has vibes of both..

The instrumental backing is definitely Tomorrow's Harvest-era, but everything else, including the vocals, are straight out of Trans-Canada era.

I really want a high quality version of this, I don't want to be stuck with a shitty youtube-to-mp3 version.

When I was younger, my best friend Al played saxophone in jazz band and used to insist on listening to various jazz and harmony groups. At the time, I hated it. However, as time went by I grew to respect and appreciate singers and the harmonies and interplay their voices can create when brought together. I suppose whether or not you like this song depends on where you stand on the issue. Everyone involved seems very talented. I dunno. I like it.

Yeah, all those different harmonies are killer, just letting them flow over your ears from side to side on a really loud PA is amazing!
