Interesting how this remix has not garnered any press that I can find. Comparing it to the Nevermen remix, which seemed to be covered by numerous online music news sites, I haven't heard a peep about this one. Granted, Nevermen has a much higher profile than Odd Nodsam, but I would assume by now someone would be talking about it.

awesome! pretty sure that is the record label
yup the release is on Leaving records, who posted it.
guys this is *actually* really lovely. though its the least radical/ingenious remix they've ever done for sure, the simplicity of it is nice compared to something like the Beck remix (with all of its bells & whistles and other sonic clutter.)
Also some of you described this as 80s and "old tunes" sounding but I'm not really getting much of that tbh. The drums are a bit "amo bishop roden" / "new seeds" and that heavy analog bassline reminds me of those periodic synth flourishes in "skyliner."
the video is quite good too.

It's just a feeling, maybe the OT is the wrong comparison. Maybe R35TT at times is more apt - whatever you call it, it makes its point without being overproduced or overthought, which is a quality I always appreciated about their older music. Their best stuff doesn't need a ton of flourishes in order to work. It's a quality that I thought they did a good job of beginning to get back to with certain parts of TH, and although this is nothing at all like TH, it gives me that same sort of feeling in the approach to it.

So just heard it,
it feels even more BOC than Nevermen remix, amazing tune, right in with that Boards of Canada mindfuckery heavy looped synthline on top of angel voice,
Boards of Canada you keep me wanting more Boards of Canada

Finally heard this (thanks to the kind soul who posted the YouTube link to the Twoism page on Facebook) - absolutely love it. Much prefer it to the Nevermen remix - although I think that's mainly due to the vocals on that tune.

ah, okay I understand the comparison now. and yeah that's something I've always enjoyed about the earlier stuff too, like how "kid for today" just nonchalantly achieves perfection with the most economical of means. meanwhile "cold earth" bends over backwards to impress us with dazzling production and meticulous detail and it's still not as good as rudimentary old "everything you do is a balloon." (disclaimer: I love "cold earth.") anyway it's nice to see they can still do "less is more."

Really cool art posted for the track over on Soundcloud:
This track sounds utterly amazing and I'm convinced a new album/EP is definitely imminent.

So what are our options for 'purchasing' the remix itself? Preferably losslessly...

Listened to this a dozen times more tonight and compared it to the original.
Beyond the obvious stuff, the only vaguely BOCish stamp on this is some possible additional reverb in the main organ backing (which always sounded a little like Boards to begin with). If I hadn't been told the bros had remixed this then I really wouldn't know.

i hope there will be some way to buy the BoC remix...it's great. It seems like it'll be given away if you buy the physical Odd Nosdam record anyway. I'd buy the digital Sisters album as i like ON anyway, but would love to get the remix with it/as well...
