I'm sure I read they'd relocated from the Pentlands to somewhere in East Lothian (I think it was an interview around the release of TCHeadphase).
As for a new album - something collaborative as Wwbjd suggested would be interesting.

So, it will come out sooner than we think and contain some of their favorite artists.
I also think that it will be something like this....I also looking forward to a BOC score....they talked about making a movie soundtrack.

boc need to do a winter album with crazy hard hitting and multi layered beats with sampled porno melodies and warped choirs and out of tune orchestration with sinister/angelic vocal samples and eeire field recordings

Field recordings of Sasquatch howlings! Hoax or not that would fit the bill for dark and eerie.

i expect they will never quite go back to the old school style of MHTR and twoism, i think the next album will still sound a bit campfire headphase-ish. which is cool, i just hope it's not campfire headphase 2 or anything like that.

So you mean you dont like Broken Drum remix, 1969, IABPOITC, Telepathic Workshop, Color Of Fire, From One Source All things Depends, One Very Important Thought etc and that live track with vocals?
I don't mean that, vocal samples are fine, and the the Beck remix was awesome, but I mean, vocals in every track, and easily understandable vocals (minus remixes). I just think of BoC as a band that wouldn't do that.

they started working on a new album in autumn of 2006. whatever it is, to be honest, im hoping they dont bring in non-processed guitars again because that made my Campfire Headphase experience a bit difficult to enjoy. it is near impossible to make an accurate prediction of where theyre going, but what i hope for is slightly beat driven, lush sounds with very well composed percussion, without losing the nostalgia and enigmatic melancholy of Geogaddi. the whole structure of most of their work that moves like a trip, or even some kind of Homer-esque epic on musical form, finishing with a calm, reflective roundoff after the climax, is something they should never change, but rather work around as their stencil for album assembly.
to get a better idea of their future stuff, i just look at the remixes theyve done (broken drum, good friday, dead dogs two, etc) and the Trans Canada Highway tracks. if their future sound is anything like that combination, i cant even begin to express my anticipation, because the aforementioned remixes are more beautiful than im able to describe, and i wont even start on Trans Canada......

Personally, I loved the guitars...the way they sampled them made them feel so organic, and almost like they were embedded deep in the song. Personally I don't understand why not many people enjoy their TCH albums.

I'd like to see them go back to their roots, ala twoism and boc maxima... would be sweet. But my prediction is that they follow the sound of Trans-Canada, and their recent remixes.

Headphase was definitely composed beautifully, and there are plenty tracks i love on there, but for me, the guitars and a couple other sounds didnt seem to fit. they didnt get along well with how i hold BoC in my mind. i suppose thats it for a lot of people who didnt enjoy the album.
