Doesn't really matter where that is, as long as its warm and dry. I'm going to take The "continuous mix" digital release as a sign that it should be experienced kind of like watching a movie with your ears.
I'm right there with you brother. Not physically, that would be weird.
You can come cuddle up during the scary moments, no probs.

Detroit? My man... it's in La chapelle de Vic in Conques-sur-Orbiel, France.

I'm thinking I'll walk down by the reservoir about ten minutes down the street, and find a serene area somewhere along the trails to lie down and listen to the whole thing.

If I was in a better mental state, there certaintly would be some slight hallucinogenic influence sprinkled in.

I also decided today that I’m going to stop using earbuds completely - the way that I’ve been listening to music with them incessantly while walking is beginning to feel wrong.

As soon as I get it I'll stuff it in my ears.

I hear you - I don't do that anymore either! But then again, I live in Toronto and it's sort of a safety hazard to not be aware of your surroundings at night, lol.

I've been trying to decide, but I THINK I want my first listen to be while driving. I have a half-decent sound system in my car, and I want my first listen to be with the volume cranked. If I do that in the car, I won't p1ss off my wife and my dog, lmao.

Yes, earbuds really desensitize you overtime.

If I don’t hear the album on the 22nd I’m thinking of the car as well on CD. You can’t go wrong if you’re driving around an open area.

Could use some headphones suggestions you guys might have. I own a pair of Triangle bookshelf speakers but I might prefer having the first listen on headphones instead.

I was considering buying the 2nd gen Meze 99 Classics that released last year, anyone here owns one?

I really like open-back headphones (Grado are a popular brand). They make music sound really wide and spacious because air is moving through the back of the speaker too, not just directly into your ear.

I finally ripped Tape 05 audio from some crappy YouTube to MP3 converter since it hasn't shown up on streaming and CoS said it's not a part of the album. On repeat, but my Goddddddd I want a single so bad right now.

Digital folks; anyone else choosing the Continuous Mix for their first listen?

I think a singular, cohesive experience could be a neat way to initially hear the album.

First time absolutely, separate mp3s are essential after, tho

Of course!

I'll mainly listen to the vinyl once it's out, but for that first listen, I'm gonna sling the Continuous Mix WAV on my phone and enjoy it on a long hike.

I'll listen to the vinyl. Hopefully it arrives on time as I ordered it via Bandcamp when Bleep crashed.

Come to think of it, wouldn't it be nice to have a bowl of Crispy Hexagons cereal to go with the occasion? Not sure if they still exist, lol.

Part of me is wondering if the vinyl in general (regardless of where you bought it) might contain a download code for the Continuous Mix

Probably not. I had to pay a couple quid extra for the LP + Continuous Mix bundle on Bleep.
