Yes! The warmth (no pun intended) of the pad/synth during THAT second section after the picked strings.

I can't imagine what it must take to be able to create this type of music, it's overflowing with feeling!

First of all, I want to join the chorus of gushing voices. Gorgeous, triumphant return!

"Tape 05" as a title got me thinking. If I'm not mistaken, this isn't only a teaser for their fifth formal album, but also there are 4 tape-only "albums" (without going into the muddled matter of "officialness" or what constitutes an album):

BOC Maxima
Old Tunes 1
Old Tunes 2
35 Tracks Tape

Probably not intentional, but when I see the name "Tape 05," hear this music, and put it in the above context especially, I see absolution, acceptance, surrender, full circle. Very beautiful.

It only reinforces the connection to me that it kind of reminds me of A01. It almost sounds like a gorgeously realized version of the opener on the Random 35 Tracks Tape.

I can't believe this is happening. I was legit starting to lose hope there would be another album. Man, I'm so happy right now, it sounds beautiful.

A good reminder to get back into Stars of the Lid. I have Their Refinement of the Decline on vinyl, but have 't really gotten around the rest of the discography yet.

Same here, I was starting to lose hope that we'd get a new release, but it's all good now!

The wait has been a LONG one. I had to wait a similar length of time between Noise Unit's 'Voyeur' (2005) and 'Deviator' (2021).

But our patience paid off! Let's enjoy the ride, and fingers crossed for a nice 3xLP vinyl.
