i've always kinda felt that plaid is almost.. i guess you could say they have a more "sophisticated" sound to them than BoC, but that sounds condescending toward the best group ever, so i'm not sure i should say that.
maybe it's that plaid presents an image of beauty, whereas BoC tries to provoke you to think of your own images.
maybe that's it.
anyway..
I've been slowly collecting soft copies of plaid over the years (well, really only like 3-4 years), but i never actually bothered to think of listening to them chronologically.
good idea.

Plaid is like kind of plasticy sounding to me, like the feeling of a plastic toy in the 90s, but still beautiful

According to Wikipedia Scintilli will be released in March. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm finally getting into Plaid I think. I went through Rest Proof Clockwork and Double Figure a few years ago, I got Scintilli when it was released, I watched Tekkon Kinkreet, etc, etc. I could tell Plaid had some seriously good ideas but I couldn't quite get into a lot of the music.
Recently I went out and bought Spokes, and it kind of pried apart the shell I had been trying to get through. B Born Droid has become my standard "today sucked but this night sky makes the day worth it" kind of track, if that makes sense.
It seems though that they have some non-conventional releases. For the experienced listeners, are there any EPs, soundtracks, projects, etc. which should be listened to? I haven't dug into any Black Dog stuff yet either.
