One of my all-time favourite memories. Woke up really really early in central Manhattan (jet-lag sucks). Got up at dawn and walked from the Empire State Building to the tip of Manhattan (past Ground Zero which had just been cleared. That was surreal). All the little delis and breakfast bars were just starting up and I had my first proper bagel sat watching the early-morning soap-opera that is NYC at around 6AM on a bright Summers morning. Happy, happy times.hills west wrote:i live in new york, we have every food from every country..and every type of people..Mexicola wrote:You have Stottie-bread in the States?hills west wrote: best with a meaty beef soup...and call me weird but i like to add horse-radish to it...(the few times we've made it here)Wow - usually 50 miles outside Newcastle and you've got no hope.
