So.. I just listened to XYZ for the first time in maybe.. 3 or 4 years?
Starting around 2 minutes or so.. seems to be a great (very great, uncanny) resemblance to Oscar See Through Red Eye? Since they couldn't release XYZ, they just picked up where they left off and did OSTRE?
Spiritual successor.

So
this was recently brought to my attention. It's a DJ set bu DJ Food, who as most of us know owns the self-released CDr of the 1998 Peel Session that is complete with XYZ. Couldn't find any mention of this anywhere on the forums. He included the legitimate track off the CDr to one of his mixes, so that's as far as I know the only place where a non-radio-rip version of the track exists in. Of course it's not the full thing as it's part of a mix, but still includes a fair portion and in general is just a joy to listen to.
On of my favorite tracks, so fantastic to finally hear it in proper quality!
E: Oh and it also slightly different from the radio version too, including some more vocal samples!

DJ Food posted about the unofficial version of Peel Session
here. I don't think the copy he has from the band has a different version of XYZ with those added vocals. My opinion is that DJ Food added those himself.
