2 and D are NOT a match, even if they do have a certain connection. My apologies.
Aw no way! I should get a couple of points, they have a total connection!

That was a tough one! They're all musicians who sampled, or were sampled by, Boards of Canada

1 - Joni Mitchell - IABPOITC (not sure what BoC sampled, got this one by process of elimination)
2 - Incredible String Band - BoC used a flute sample from "When the Music Starts to Play" in "The Smallest Weird Number", Geogaddi
3 - Imagination - sample of "Flashback" in "We've Started Up", OTV2
4 - Odd Nosdam - remixed "Dayvan Cowboy", TCH EP
5 - Colonel Abrams - BoC remixed "Trapped" on AFOT (and Mask200)
6 - Indeep - BoC sampled "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" on "Nlogax", Hi Scores
7 - Solange - She 'sampled' "Slow This Bird Down" from TCH
8 - Galt MacDermot - composer of the rock opera Hair, which BoC sampled in "Aquarius", MHTRTC

3 was tough, took me a while to realize who it was. I thought they were Midnight Star first, or Kool and the Gang.

I'm pretty sure the blonde woman is Amo Bishop Roden, not Joni Mitchell. :D

Ah, that'd make sense... does look a bit like Joni Mitchell too though, from what I could find.

Trillions? Nah. It's a guess though. The carnivalish sound in the backround sound weirdly familliar. In that case, King of Carnival?

None of the guesses were right so far. I didn't think it would be so hard!

So here's a hint: it's near the end of a track
