Loving this, his music is so elemental like it has been carved out of stone.

And the first stone was called thought

okay.... at the same time as the guy makes fair points and detailed exploration of the music and its significance, i really tire of critics always saying "well, it's /awesome/, but he isn't /going anywhere/ with it." why do you need to go anywhere from awesome? why not leave it to the musicians of the future to innovate on what you've done? i would NOT be disappointed by 5 or 6 more albums just like Rifts. I wouldn't feel stagnated, or shafted, or like he was just "treading water", no. I would feel like here is a guy who puts out amazing music, time after time.

I really dig all of his sunsetcorps youtube vids / memory vague in general, insane.

I'm loving A Pact Between Strangers and that part of it on Rifts atm. Extended When I Get Back From New York is pure <3

And Returnal is still awesome and still feels like ayahuasca (especially preyouandi)

I don't see the appeal in this... it's incredibly redundant and annoying.

fair enough opinion

don't get me wrong. I dig some drone music and I'm into OPN. I have had rifts for a couple of months now. it's awesome. I just don't like that particular loop played over and over along with that strange looping video of an 8 bit homey standing outside a club. but to each their own :)

"8 bit homey" ha ha that made my morning!! Also i think it depends on your mood,if your just chilled and relaxed you can really get into the loop!! A few years ago i would of said the same, but i really started to like this style after listening to "The field" and dont you just love "nobody here" HMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm OPN ;o)
