yes, I am disgusted by the celebratory attitude here in america. I'm ashamed to be american because of things like this. it's good that osama bin laden is no longer a threat himself, but it's wrong in any degree to celebrate the death of another human. my opinion.

Yes. I love that the story goes that we honored HIS religion (even though he apparently masterminded the killing of thousands of innocent Americans about 10 years ago) with a burial that was less than a couple hours after his death... huh... if any of that were true, would we not have buried him facing Mecca instead of conveniently throwing his remains in the ocean where his body floats at the whim of the current, and where what's left of his rotting bloated corpse is sure to wash up on some shore somewhere after the fish are done feasting on it?

At the same time, we continually go against our own religions by cheering on the deaths of others, and participating in wars and murders on a daily basis.

Prevent a shrine of his death? More like prevent any photographic evidence. Again, another failed attempt at silencing someone. Osama is like a fucking rock star in this country. I'm reminded of Natural Born Killers in a way.

Not releasing the images, while on the face of it seems to be very suspicious, is in fact quite sensible. Obama got it right to be honest. The reasons he gave, such as not wanting to issue something in the style of propaganda and entice retaliatory attacks are all reasonable in the wake of the death of the worlds most wanted man.

It's difficult to accept that these images wont be officially released but when balancing out the facts and probabilities, its just as likely they did capture and kill OSL as much as the probability that its in fact a hoax.

These photos will most likely be leaked anyway. Some official DNA analysis would be helpful though and perhaps intelligence reports?

All i know is, Pakistan seem to be in a very right position.

Don't be ashamed to be an American. Be ashamed of your fellow citizens who participated in or encouraged that barbaric behavior. Tell them how fucked up and wrong they are.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter in the end. I suppose you could say that for one brief moment, a monumental lie brought our crippled nation off its knees to unite in celebration. Wouldn't be the first time.

Also, there is a reason South Park is still on the air. That show is absolutely on the ball with the social commentary. I saw the Creme Fraise (Sp) episode for the first time a couple weeks ago. So so true...

I kinda just lost caring about this world. It's fine and all that he's dead, but what will it help the greater good? Nothing. Everything that happens in the middle east, I don't care for anymore.


Maybe I'm selfish, but I just found it it's alot better living for yourself (and your family/friends etc.) then living for the rest of the world, because you'll get fucked over anyway. I love the ones who I care about, and they love me back, that's what I like about being on this planet. The rest, to be honest, I couldn't care less.

i hear where you're coming from. my problem is - the media. and the influence on our lives. everything - good and bad from it feels like a huge weight. i can escape into the countryside for hours on end, embrace truly in nature, only to return into the town - gossip, did you watch this, did you watch that, have you heard this? buy this, buy that, breaking news...i really don't have an interest in it, so why is it rammed into me day after day? far too many people are governed by the media. i know this comment is over exaggerated by my long and stressful day...but, yes...silence...

You're a small part of what I consider to be "the rest" and to tell you the truth I couldn't care less about the rest either. But you have to remember you're the reason there are doctors, teachers, bakers, dentists...tennis instructors, etc, etc. You're the reason society exists.

I don't like to see people celebrating a human's death, even after all he's done, but I find it hard to judge them for it with OBL. In 10 years the guy has been built up and built up by coverage, notoriety, and the knock on effects of what he did in 2001 to the point where he's a symbolic figure, and it's hard to attatch the normal attributes you'd expect of human reaction to something that's SO symbolic. Everyone knows everyone dies, but few of us are touched directly by the death of someone we know. The media already packages up the deaths of people we don't know into news stories that we react to or ignore many times a day. I doubt many people are genuinely elated that someone has died as much as they are happy about the removal of the symbol of what he represented from the world. Even if it's an emotion coming out of a pure feeling of retribution, that's still largely symbolic.

It's not that exaggerated, I recognise myself in this alot. I'm just annoyed by the fact that everybody has this expectations of you, and if you don't do what they expect you to do, your weird and they classify you as not normal. The media is the main cause for that, they seem to tell everybody what is good or bad, without people actually thinking for themselves if that's good or bad, they just follow everything they are being told, instead of deciding and actually thinking for their own. As well as governments. Basically any institutions of any kind.

Also, US Releases photographic evidence of Bin Ladens death... and I see a sandal floating in water... a motherfucking SANDAL floating in the water... Sometimes I wish I was more ignorant. Might make the world a whole lot easier to digest.

Haha I thought that sandal was a joke, but are they claiming this is real evidence? That's a fucking insult, haha what the hell is this world becoming, haha this is so bad.
