Oh no! What a nightmare....

Frankly I'd complain to the band - that's a CLEAR contravention on "international gig time" (Doors 7.30, support 8.00, roadies pissing about 8.30/8.45, band on at 9.00) - it's the LAW! (flexible by 1 hour for hip hop acts).

This is so accurate and i've never even thought about it. But you're so right, this is basically what happens at EVERY gig.

You need to add "heckling roadies during mic check" into that middle bit

I emailed them about it, in the hope I might blag some tickets next time (shy bairns get nowt!).

Got a nice reply from them full of sympathy and promising to try and link me to a recording of the gig.

I can honestly say that in 25 years of London gig-going I have never experienced anything quite like it. Even highbrow avant-garde classical concerts have started (and finished) at sensible times. I think what annoys me now (we were so flabbergasted last night that all we could do was laugh about it) is that there was no indication on the tickets or website that there was no support and that it would all be over by 8.30. Regardless of Mex's problems with the M3, we would have been hard-pushed to have made it there on-time anyway.

There were also no decent pubs in Kings Cross for a consolation pint either.

Band of Horses yesterday, wasn't the best concert I have been to, but hearing ''Is there a ghost'' and ''the Funeral'' live was an amazing experience.

Last Friday I saw Beach House and Sunday I saw Animal Collective both at the roundhouse in London - both great gigs however nothing prepared me for Death Grips at the electric ballroom last night! Best gig I've ever been to, the bug supported and they both completely blew me away and the crowd was amazing too! So much energy.

Last night, thanks to the terrible state dutch public transit is in I missed out on the flying lotus concert I bought tickets for 3 months ago. I'm absolutely devastated

One man was hit by a train in a bottleneck between rotterdam and amsterdam, a car was stuck between haarlem and amsterdam and then, after realizing I would miss it all, the toilet in the train back home bursts into flames.
It was a surreal night.

Ah yes. Such a great fucking show. I got so confused during the intermission as I left to take a piss and it was during the last song and since I was tripping I came out to a bunch of people and assumed that I had lost track of time and the show was over but then realized there was another whole setlist

Last night Carbon Based Lifeforms had another one of their ambient/idm-nights at a small club here in my town. It's nice to for once hear music like Boc, Tycho, Fennesz, Ott, Brian Eno, Fsol and many more out in a club. And Carbon Based Lifeforms did a live show that was really great! I wish there would be more nights like that...

Saw Daedelus for the second time live Friday night. He was amazing of course, as usual, and a very nice guy + personable.

The other guys I don't know... I guess when I go to a Daedelus concert I expect something different than Crunk / Trap music. I get it, it's a live show and you gotta get the people hyped, but that kind of annoyed me.

Maybe i'm just too critical because I've been listening to the dude since Invention.
