Also, and this may well change if they notice - you can see what sub folders on the site exist because of an error in the way they have it set up.isotoxal wrote:Oh crap, you're right - I hadn't noticed the last one wasn't. Even with just 6 digit numbers you could still try all combinations within a few hours however.Bocuma747 wrote:But 519225 isn't even a prime numberthepastinsidepressant wrote: would you know how to do that? i would'nt have a clue but you reckon if this was the case it could

Yeah true, it just seems a bit arbitrary then though. They put all this effort in everywhere else, I'm expecting to have to whittle a stick to the combined length of the numbers, put it in a slot in a precise place in the Pentlands to determine the place to dig for the master tapes.sithlord999 wrote:I like the idea of the whole thing being a giant url in the end. True, it could be cracked....but isn't that only assuming that there would be a page up at that address right now? Could they not wait until close to the moment of the final code to upload the page to their server? Maybe I'm just misinformed about something though...I'm not a website guru or anything.

I'm imagining a digital download scenario for this a la radiohead or MBV... with hopefully much better server architecture to handle the incredible load.isotoxal wrote:Yeah true, it just seems a bit arbitrary then though.
