It's Because for me. It gets me every time. The first Beatles song I truly fell in love with. The entire of Abbey Road Side 2 is brilliant. Although I skip Her Maiesty. I understand where they were coming from, after such an epic ending, intentionally marring it with some whimsical McCartney bollocks. There's something perverse about that which I like. But I never actually listen to it.

Her Majesty was actually supposed to be left on the cutting room floor if I remember correctly. The recording engineer/producer decided to chuck it in at the end. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But I agree it actually works pretty well.

Maxwell is an odd one, I really liked it when I was a kid (and too young to grasp the lyrics!) But I actually don't play the first side at all anymore, just Come Together and then onto side 2

I still need to round off my collection of their main psychedelic era with Revolver. It is actually my favourite, not Sgt Peppers. Revolver is so close in feel to Geogaddi for me in parts, particularly of course with Tomorrow Never Knows but also with I'm only sleeping and She Said She Said.

God I love them...

She Said She Said has one of my favourite Ringo performances. I love his drumming.

She Said She said is one the best Beatles songs period! Love that tune.

Just discovered Tom Day, so I've been on a bit of a Tom Day binge to(m)day. God, that was lame.

Anyway, he does make some beautiful music. Really good while being at my 9-5 job.

No problem, Norman Records are great, discovered them when trying to find older Epic45 stuff. For example, they currently have Epic45's 'May Your Heart Be The Map' in stock, one of my favourite albums, but difficult to find now anywhere else. You should check it out if you haven't already.

It sort of reminds me of Mogwai, but also of The Microphones. There's a really nice blend of organic and electronic, a seamless blend.

Anyone interested in Mogwai should check out Remember Remember and Errors. Both are signed to Mogwai's Rock Action Records label.They are both Scottish acts and worth checking out.
Im just revisiting all my Susumu Yokota stuff.

I'm not massively keen on Mogwai. I like some of their stuff, but some of it leaves me cold. About 10 years ago there was a massive swell of "post-rock" bands forming around where I live. For a while it seemed like every place I went there would be a guitarist with 700 guitar pedals, and the logo of their amps taped over for added "authenticity". It pissed me off no end. And sort of put me off Mogwai a bit.

I absolutely love the Les Revenants soundtrack they did though.

Yes Mogwai can be an acquired taste. Very good live. There last two albums Hardcore will never Die,but you will and The Rave Tapes were a bit more diverse, a lot more electronic sounds and beats creeping in.
Check them out ,you might enjoy them a bit more. especially Rave Tapes and the E.P. work/industry has two excellent remixes by Pye Corner Audio And Nils Frahm.

Yeah I should really give them more of a chance at some point.
