Okay, my 2 cents: as soon as I made out the blue flag in the desert, I googled about ...blue flags in deserts. I got something about a "
Bonnie Blue Flag" which is also a song, allegedly also known as "We Are A Band Of Brothers." I don't purport this to be the meaning behind the flag, but I found that amusing anyway; if it's anything.
