EDIT: Aw I see I'm a little late.. Just spotted the NPR thing everyone is posting now. Matching up the two recordings does seem to give us the same numbers.

I'd love to see the footage they are projecting more clearly...

I kind of agree with this guy at watmm - "It seems weird that they would go through the trouble of setting this up in a physical space just to rebroadcast a number that's already been released."

Agreed. And I'm still going with 299742 or 255742

Yeah, for one, it shows their appreciation for and knowledge of their fanbase. An excellent way to interact, involving participation of the public, how brilliant. It also shows them how dedicated their fans are, I mean, their game is played very well.

It's a bummer I can't watch these clues unravel as they happen, but at least I have something to look forward to when I come home from work. Thanks bocpages and 2020k for helping me stay on top of this.

I'm in doubt between this and the NPR code (699742) because the first number is muffled and it could be that we hear the end of 6 being pronounced so you kind of hear 'x'.

Pff I don't know, instead of '99', I can't help but hear '55'.

It sounds a lot more like the first number is 3

355742

99.9% certain the first number is 3

listen the the first numbers ending syllable.

it sounds like "e"

not "x" as for 6

not like two either, which can be clearly heard as the last number at the end.
The first number and last sound nothing alike.
I'm pretty sure the first number is 3.

Slight 'aside' realisation: Record Store Day this year was exactly one day after the 70-year anniversary of Albert Hoffman's 'planned' experiment with LSD (a few days after 'happy cycling')

it is DEFINITELY 699742

Clear as daylight really, and if you listen to the "noise" before the actual notes, they are the same as the NPR which was already unique in that regards with the wavy sounds before the callsign.

And yes, I am 100% sure it was deliberate that NPR didn't give the position, the setup tonight is way too elaborate to be a "oopsie"

Besides, they had footage ready and all that shit, you don't do this thing on the corner of a table at midnight after some dude didn't divulge location. :)

Everything in this is clearly scripted and played... VERY well done :) despite what others might say ;)

It sounds like this was a repeat of the NPR code, but confirming the location.

There's a clue in location 5 still unannounced?

Got there about 11:40PM and about 5 mins after there were two peeps leaving rough trade, who spoke to a couple of other nerds. Nothing was revealed. Hung about and drunk some beer til quarter past midnight when two 'random' guys entered the shop opposite Rough Trade and not long after the projections changed. Up popped the Boards XXXXXX/------/------/------/------/------ thingy and also the Warp logo intermittently, Seemed to be on a 60-90 second loop (I'm quite gassed/#scottish). Anyhoo. I chatted to some peeps who then fucked off, general consensus is This Is A Great Mindfuck. I digress. On my own around 12.45, I start to press my ear to the cracks in the door, of which there are three. (3). No joy to be honest, all I could hear amidst the (great) 'noise' was 99802. A five digti number. I listened to this umpteen times over half an hour and only revised my opinion once. (Having seen this thread though.....fuck). Go to it maths nerds. Make us proud.
