Finally done with my triptych which I worked on for the past 6 months.

The titles are
1.Preparty with Dog
2.Drunk in Stairs
3.After party in Bathtub
They are all 105x135 cm each. I hope someone likes them.

The painted photograph feeling with the flash-like lighting and strangely high angles powerfully communicate a sense of drunkenness and disorientation.The concept of "drinking away your troubles" is a sort of common idea, and could easily be done in a cliche manner that would be quickly read. But I sincerely think that you have successfully avoided this and have portrayed the lonelier side of drinking and partying with a fresh brutality and ambition. I'm definitely not finished with looking at and thinking about these pieces. Really excellent work my friend. I'm really excited to see a fellow painter here on twoism!

Also I'm actually a little drunk right now. So that's funny. Not sure I feel like taking a bath while wallowing in my depression though.

I'm glad you like them and that you feel that you can relate to them. Previously I've done paintings from snapshot photos from partys but I felt like showing another side of that life (with a bit of humour ).
Haha! If you had experienced sweden during the cold winter you may have related to the "bathtub painting" easier .

Thank you Fujee! Yes I studied at an art school here in Gothenburg two years right after High school but the past three years I've been painting on my own beside my "bread-job".

It takes some time to make them but I hope to have a productive fall/winter

I study in the midlands in the UK.

I used to be primarily a draughtsman and a painter, specialising in drawing. But my practice has moved into installation, sculpture and video and sometimes a mix of all three!

Im sorta finding my feet really in terms of what I want to do going forward.

Sounds interesting. I usually goes to exhibitions with video/installation art, it's the art form I usually can get the most out off.

Since going to art school, I have seen it as one of the most exciting mediums going forward.

these are great. good work. oil is hard to master! you have! i like how some of your work is kind of an analogue deconstruction of todays ubiquitous digital party snaps. i have never seen someone paint that hard tungsten flash associated with digital. really great.

Thank you! I love working from photographs because of the twisted angles and bright, almost unnatural colors you can get when using a camera.

I checked your website and you really have amazing artwork there. I absolutely love your shortfilms! The music video you made with Orcas (who's music I love) and "Areas in Manhattan" is really beautiful! Very trippy
