Seeing as they like to mine (to my mind) sort of, '75 - '85 as their nostalgia era, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't at least a whiff of this, I certainly remember even as a child having a sense of paranoia about US v USSR, and even China and Afghanistan; Soviet sympathetic countries if you will. And that's as a tiddler with a pretty limited understanding of world politics...
I remember as a kid going out into the fields behind our school on a little trip, or it might have been PE or something, and it started raining and we were all terrified it was acid rain because Chernobyl had just happened and we ran under trees
because we all thought we were going to be burned alive or melted or something. That isn't really related but it was a funny (in hindsight) memory that thinking about this point brought up.
Yeah, like that ABC special The Day After! Nothing like seeing the Whirl end as kid's to leave us living in fear for the rest of our lives!

You know, aside from the new album that everyone is currently talking about, I'm also looking forward tremendously to new interviews (their interviews are always excellent literature) and possibly even live shows!

Agreed. I hope both of these happen, one is obviously more likely than the other.

Can I just ask - from what I've been able to gather the whole BoC association with the name "New Clear Dawn" came about because of a fan discovery that the domain name newcleardawn.com was registered to Hexagon Sun. Have I got that correct? Cheers.

Neil Krug is a photographer that specializes in shooting photos and movies on expired film. The video does look like it was shot on film, and if you are going to hire anyone to shoot an artist thing for a music artists on file, you would hire Neil Krug.

I'm sure BoC/Warp would have intended people to believe this was a video shot by BoC/Hexagon Sun.
There's also maybe a chance that Neil Krug has actually directed a video for the first single, and whoever runs the Honey Badger Co twitter had a mix up?

You would think that they would have already discussed and set up confidentiality agreements in contracts though.... Unless some newbie at honeybadger slipped up.
