I started reconsidering going to the party last night. One reason is because it’s rare to get to listen to music with high-end speakers and the store might have better acoustics than the session venues. So it would actually be superior in some sense while offering some of the same elements. I ended up not signing up and slept horribly anyway.

This is one of the situations where I don’t know how I’d react. I’ve been really depressed and didn’t find it enticing because of that but it might’ve cheered me up. Curious to hear if other goers liked the experience

Attending a release party "near me" today. It's an hour and a half drive from where I live, so I hope there will be some freebies left when I arrive...

The music stopped when they sold out the vinyl, and there were no trinkets. Kind of weird. Glad I didn't go.

Wow. Just finished our session. Goodie bag is secured.

You Retreat in Time and Space really stood out for me. Instant classic.

No goodie bag for me as they were reserved to those buying a vinyl copy... Scored a CD though, that'll keep me busy while waiting for my red DLP to arrive!

Just got back from one nearby, had a great time and met some new people. Was ready to be disappointed, but the record far exceeded my expectations -- so excited to listen to this over the summer.

Just got back from the listening party in my city--WOW! Our record store is pretty small and only maybe fifteen or twenty people showed up. It was a really neat and intimate experience. The owner kicked it off by just saying "So...it's been a long thirteen years, huh?" Cue cheering. Everyone who came put their name in a raffle and the winners got some merch. They called me very first and I got a little turquoise hexagon keychain :D

I was in a mad rush to preorder the album when it initially dropped, but hindsight is 20/20 and I could have waited. My store had I think six deluxe LPs in stock that could be purchased after the party. There were still three left over once people started leaving. I asked the owner how they picked which stores got to host the listening parties. She told me that each store that was interested submitted their name and petitioned to be a host and they got chosen after that. She said she was really stoked that they got chosen since we're a smaller city and she is a huge BOC fan.

Some people looked at the tracklist to follow along with the titles, but I just decided to sit there and take it in without knowing anything. When Tape 05 (I suppose now Deep Time) showed up, the guy sitting next to me and I looked at each other, and I could tell we were both internally doing the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme lol. I'll be sure to give the whole thing another listen later paying attention to the track names :D

It was so great to share the experience with so many cool fans!

It fucking rips. Fun, unpredictable, deep, digital?, beautiful. Prophecy serves as a prologue—a statement of purpose. Father and Son provides some playfulness while Naraka draws you into a warm cacoon. Then, the insane asylum is emptied…
Gotta listen in headphones before I attempt a cogent analysis…

I do know for a fact, right off the rip, that it ranks amongst their finest work. Wildly different, still unmistakably BoC, and deeply powerful. Holy Hell, I’m gathering my own mind from the floor of the listening room. Will report back!

I just attended the party in Minnesota. Great turnout. The new album sounds amazing. Age of Capricorn, Naraka and Arena Americanada are the highlights for sure! Naraka is stuck in my head

Just got back from Rainy Day Records here in Olympia. The listening party was amazing - intimate and small, with GREAT sound system. Everyone listened with like the perfect balance of respectful silence vs. excited commenting and sharing of feelings so we could all enjoy together. I scored a gift bag and a keychain, AND I made two new friends! Amazing day.

...And the record RULES. Like, I was just blown away the entire time. Not to talk down about Tomorrow's Harvest but I'd be lying if I didn't say this was everything I wished I felt about TH but didn't.

Full capacity in Chattanooga as well, exact amount of chairs (sixtyten I estimate), they had a custom soundsystem brought in. I listened front and center but the balance was perfect. Headphones will help me get deeper into the infinite samples…
