Apparently the embedded flash player contains a 128kbps mp3 full length track embedded in the .flv file.
It's amazing that they put such a, relatively speaking, high quality in full length on the internets way before its release date.
ZOMG

its probably not worth the wait, the songs good but leans more towards the filler side just a bit. The lyrics are funny,but...it sounds like BoC mixed with Cake.

I'm a little bit ambivalent about it.. but it might grow on me.
But I'm not sure it's so much because of the music... the lyrics seem a bit oppressive to me. (AND I'M NOT, REPEAT, NOT, OPPOSED TO LYRICS)

Cake's a good comparison on the lyrics. I was thinking of a Butthole Surfers song from the 90's (I think it was them). Can't remember the name though it was a popular video at the time.
I also don't think it's worth waiting for the official release. A full BoC album I can understand, but a remix?

I actually thought the lyrics were interesting. Got to say I've been checking out Why? tonight for the first time, but I'm not too fussed. Still wan to hear the original version, but I suspect BOC have remixed this quite heavily - contrary to what I thought at first.

ive been into why? for a while so i wasnt really surprised when i heard his voice. some of his songs are a little more singish and some are a little more rappish... usually he has more excitement in his voice than this. i would actually really like to hear this without the vocals, but thats just me.

I like it! It doesn't sound typically BoC, but you can tell it's them because they just know exactly how to make a great track no matter what style it's in. What I like about this track is that it doesn't sound like a typical remix, it sounds solid enough to have been the single and we wouldn't have thought any different. Great work!

Haha, for a short moment I envisaged BoC swirling in a giant bowl of chocolate and sponge.
Does anyone have or know of a way to get a stand-alone version of this track?

so do you guys think this might be a bit of a hint as to boc's direction in the future? we know that when they do remixes they tend to just use the vocals only and rebuild the rest of the track. assuming they've done that here (based on that and the fact that the instrumenals certainly don't sound like something Why? would come up with), this sounds really different from their previous material. we were told there would be some big changes, so hmm...it's interesting. this is definitely a style that doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility for them on an album

I hope this isn't the direction they're heading in, its good...but,......i mean just listen to "everything you do is a baloon" and then listen to that.. This track is nice and catchy but it doesn't connect with me like the Boc that I love.

well they can go in a direction similar to this without it sounding exactly like this remix. I'm just thinking there'll be more live instrumentation and stuff like the part near the end. I wouldn't be so quick to judge a potential new style for them based on one remix.
think of it this way, does the dead dogs two remix totally sum up the campfire headphase? of course not, but it does provide a bit of a taste of the style of the album, I imagine this is likely to be the same
