i second this.. even tho the rip floating on the internets is only 160kbps and first tracks seems to be cut off all of a sudden.

i'll definitely need this when it's released in stores

Same here. Vinyl hopefully.

Thought the cut off on the first track might be intentional. The track is called "silence" after all.

Astonishing record. Dark and bleak and surprisingly varied. There's nothing on there that I think could be a single. The production is gorgeously dirty.

I'll be amazed if I hear anything better this year.

Yeah, you know I have Third on the PC at the moment.. but I'm trying to get in the mood for it. Portishead, I've found, works best when you feel used up and violated.

I haven't felt that way lately. I'm waiting to take all that pathos in....

Has anyone actually had a listen of Kelpe's new LP yet? It is out now in stores and while looking through the new stuff at my favourite record shop I stumbled upon it. But eventually I chose not to pick it up yet and passed it up for some other things I was out for. But some positive views on it would certainly help me spend this more money on it. :P
I do own his previous work so I'm pretty sure this new record would still rock if it does not stray off too far from his earlier releases.

New album by Leila in 2008 with Warp Records: "Leila - Blood, Looms and Blooms".
She announces the signing in her Myspace, and some more info can be found here:

It's been eight years since ''Courtesy of Choice'' but I thinks it's gonna be worth the wait :)

Question for itannexe (or anyone else who has been to Valencia). Is it just me, or is the Ciudad de las Artes y las Cienciasthe most BOC-esque building in the World?

Don't know if BOC, but Autechre said somewhere that they were into architechture, and cited Calatrava buildings as one of their favourites
