I'm quite intrigued myself. I've had to ask the other guitarist in our old band if he still has the photos. Part of me hopes he does, while part me thinks if he has them I might have to kill him and delete the evidence. 1992 was a loooooooong time ago.

To be continued (maybe).

From 1992. Be afraid.

I'll be the scrawny streak of piss in the Soundgarden T-Shirt, with the red BC Rich guitar.

Seriously, what the actual fuck were we thinking?!?

The only Converse I've ever owned that didn't crucify me when I wore them. I have canoes for feet :?

I'm a fairly recent Converse convert - I was always an Adidas Campus man....

I can't quite make out this look you've got going on, its a kinda grunge/death metal crossover. You pulled off the epic "look to the sky and riff" pose excellently though.

If I tell the songs we covered that night, it might make more sense (maybe)

Cowboys From Hell - Pantera
Even Flow - Pearl Jam
Come As You Are - Nirvana
Outshined - Soundgarden
Alive - Pearl Jam
Would? - Alice In Chains

We were also supposed to do Screamager by Therapy? but we pulled it at the last minute after our drummer broke the double-kick pedal he'd borrowed in the opening track.

Spinal Tap-lite.

Screamager! There's a tune and a half....

I was gonna say you evoke some spirit of Pantera in these pictures, they must've been quite big around the time this picture was taken right?

Fugee - yeah, Vulgar Display of Power had come out in the Summer I think so they were in their prime.

Pianoforte - sadly not. Or perhaps thankfully not! Remember, this was 1992. No digital cameras, no mobile phones - hell, no internet! You're lucky these photos are in colour frankly

Yes - only vastly superior 35mm still cameras and beautifully lo-fi hi8 and VHS camcorders.

There was a time when one could drop of the face of the earth simply by leaving one's home? What a nice thought. Going out to dinner and not being contactable. Sounds like bliss to me!

Being a proud geek, I feel compelled to mention that ARPANET was around at the time... ;)

Yes, that is correct. That guitar wouldn't look as cringe-worthy in b/w :D

Ha! You're right of course.

It was a simpler time. It was a better time.
Kind of...

If anyone remembers them: Sword has reformed last year, performed quite a few energetic gigs, and are now readying a new album.

Since those dudes are on my patch I thought I'd put some on:

Sword - Stoned Again (1986)
